Lux had gone to work early that day, going through song options and selecting several he thought were good. Then, after being criticized by a coworker, he'd gone through and replaced the ones that were not considered popular to the general New Haven public, much to Lux's chagrin. Why didn't people like disco, anyway? He'd been feeling off all morning, and when his boss had noticed, Lux had been sent home.
For some reason, it hurt his feelings. He didn't want to say that aloud, and he hated that he was even thinking it, but it stung being told he needed to leave work just because of a little headache and whatnot. Lux missed work, now, which was also odd. He couldn't remember being that attached to it in the past. Sure, he liked his job, but to be genuinely sad that he had to go home?
He stopped at the cafe to get some tea, and because he wasn't ready to be alone yet. Lux probably stood too close to the person in front of him in line, he had a tendency to do that sometimes, but he was grateful when the other didn't seem to mind. "Huh?" He asked, looking confused. Then he looked around, a smile growing on his face. "Oh, yeah, sometimes, I guess? I like the smells," he admitted, blushing.
Speaking of smells, Ronan couldn't help but smell the pleasant aroma coming from the omega before him. He immediately became instinctual from it. "The smell? Oh from the coffee beans. I thought you meant the smell coming from you." He admitted. He wanted the other to know that he could smell him and if he could then other people could too.
Alpha's had a way of being territorial of their omega's so knowing that the male was out all alone meant that he wasn't claimed. "You know you're in...never mind. It's not my business." He decided that it wasn't his buisness and at the end of the day it wasn't. He just hoped that the other knew what they were getting themselves into with being out in public during heat.
