On the Twilight Zone Zone, we always say our guest is special and it’s always true! Today our guest is especially special! We’re joined by Rachel Curry, an incredibly talented bookbinder and letterpress artist.
We watch Season 2, Episode 29: “The Obsolete Man” which stars Burgess Meredith. In a dystopian future, books are a crime and god is long since dead. Burgess Meredith plays a librarian who is sentenced to death for being obsolete. We discuss the importance of learning and the joys of having niche skill sets.
You can find Rachel on Instagram @currycheeks or you can buy her wonderful art on Etsy right here!
I actually have some shows in April, but in the meantime, March ain't looking too bad either.
My favorite moment in La La Land? Wow, what a great question. I think it must have been the part where Ryan Gosling explains to a person of color what jazz is and isn't. (at The Oscars)
If you still don't have a date for Valentine's Day, I've got you covered. I put together this mix tape of all the most romantic songs ever. Just play it for your would-be sweetheart and they'll be smitten in no time. You're entirely welcome.

I made this thing at Collage and Cry. I also talked about how this time last year, I started crying while I was filling out Christmas cards to friends because I really meant the things I said. (at BOOK SHOW)
One of my postcards was in a story on Diply. Neato!

Tonight Jeremy and I are doing a show at the UCB inner sanctum. We're talking about progressive themes in The Twilight Zone with special attention being paid to how fear of the other and political tensions can turn people into the worst versions of themselves. Remain vigilant.
