   he thought violating the one rule ( DO NOT GO NEAR HUMAN TERRITORY ) wouldn't be a big deal. in his refusal to listen to reason, mikey simply followed his feet, pushed way, way beyond their safety zone by pent-up energy, a need for something, anything that wasn't within the couple thousand square feet under the terra, the same confined little world they've been forced to live in for as long as he can remember. of course, it goes without saying that he definitely shouldn't have followed the biggest, brightest thing his eyes could pick apart from the over-crowded skyline of ruins and junk-made structures----the cabler's settlement.

   now, all confidence he'd had in his own endeavors is gone. a lifetime of thought conditioning and extensive teachings on the dangers of human irrationality and fear are now coming back in a flash, and all from seeing some girl. thing is, he's panicking because SHE spotted him first. he knows he should run, hide, knock her out, but his body remains frozen on the spot, mouth agape, eyes seizing her, focused on her every move.

I don't know where the thing about Mikey being a bad cook comes from but imma ignore it. He's definitely a great cook from years of watching shows and making do with whatever they had---Leo cleaned the dojo, Don took care of maintenance, Raph cleaned out the rest of the lair---and that left Mikey free domain over the kitchen. He is a messy cook, though, that's for sure, but since he's the one in charge of the kitchen, that means he's also in charge of washing whatever dishes are left. Trust Michelangelo to cook you a five-cheese, all meat pizza, tho.

   ❝ April, what did you think of us? Y'know, when we first met... ❞, it's a loaded question, one that has been in his mind ever since their little run-in with the NYPD. There's no right or wrong answer to be taken out of this---all he wants is honesty. He didn't ask before because there just wasn't enough time, not with everything else happening at the same time, but now that it's all done, now that the waters have stopped rushing, Mikey has found the resolve to get it out, for better or worse.

   And when he finally does ask out loud, his voice cracks a little, that confidence and lack of worry that had been there not long ago now gone, evident in the way his lips shake slightly the very moment he begins to speak, and by the awkward silence that comes right after. Their current position increases that silence heavier by the tenfold---just moments ago, they had unfolded the couch to lay down and watch Golden Girls reruns, her head on his chest, surrounded by junk food, all in celebration of her promotion and subsequent, significant raise at Channel 6. It's SO the wrong time to ask this, but if not now, then when?

   It's been bothering him for the past few minutes. Well, actually, ever since they met, but it would've seemed intrusive to ask right then and there in the middle of a fight. Now that he's been sitting in silence for five minutes too long, though, with nothing but the sounds of chewing, it's come back to the surface of his mind to bother him. ❝ I mean, if you don't mind me asking. It's just...the way you kicked ass back there, and you came out of it without a single scratch. HOW!? ❞

   Don't mind the wild gestures, with pizza still in hand, in an attempt to imitate the way her arms stretch. Suddenly, he realizes he might just be making a fool of himself in front of her...if his question is to be answered, he's gotta act more serious. ❝ How did Miss Marvel become Miss Marvel? Was it, like, a bolt of lightning? Are you the daughter of the rulers of a super race? ❞

————   WHAT THEY WOULD BE INFAMOUS FOR:  Vigilantism, aka a serious crime since that's pretty much operating outside of the law to enforce the law in arguably unethical ways. Being a headache for both of New York's biggest and most dangerous gangs, the Foot and the Purple Dragons. Being one of the sons of the Foot's new leader, who took power after executing Shredder by decapitation.

————   WHAT HAVE THEY / WOULD THEY HAVE GOTTEN ARRESTED FOR.  Well, vigilantism, of course. Theft, arson, driving without a valid identification, breaking into police headquarters and resisting arrest. Oh, yea, and several accounts of murder, most of them counting as either voluntary manslaughter or involuntary manslaughter, with the most serious charges qualifying as second degree.

————   CHARACTER YOU SHIP THEM WITH.  For now, no one really, but I love the whole opposites attract concept, cause it rings so true. Someone that grounds Mikey, but also has fun with him. Someone who doesn't bother to filter the harshness of reality but still loves him for being optimistic. If that makes sense.

————   CHARACTER MOST LIKELY TO MURDER THEM.  Shredder or Hun. Or both.

————   FAVOURITE BOOK GENRE.  Comic books, fantasy, sci-fi, horror.

————   WHY SOMEONE MIGHT LOVE THEM.  Mikey is the cinnamon roll of the team, positive, energetic, and outgoing. Despite having to live in complete hiding from the surface, he remains hopeful that someone, anyone will love him for who he is without putting any importance to his mutation. 

————   WHY SOMEONE MIGHT HATE THEM.  He's a little too naive at times, letting his good faith in others, even complete strangers, blind him to obvious clues that they shouldn't be trusted. The fact that Mikey is still quite young means that he remains a bit too idealistic, and to him, the world is either black or white, no in-between...he has to learn morals aren't so easily defined. His overly energetic attitude can sometimes come off as annoying, too.

————   HOW THEY CHANGE.  Through all the crazy things happening either to or around him, Michelangelo grows from bitter experience, while maintaining his positive attitude. His emotional and mental maturity evolve to new levels with each situation that he's thrust into, therefore making him more rounded. Despite everything, he'll always try his best not to be dragged down, no matter how bad things might seem. 

————   WHY YOU LOVE THEM.  Mikey is adorable, loving, positive despite the circumstances surrounding him. He is talented, though his talents are either overlooked or not fully fleshed out at all, and even when he's not exactly Donnie in levels of brains, Mike's definitely no dummy, but sadly, he is painted as one a lot of the time---something that I've made my personal mission to change.
