My fellow Americans, it has been the honor of my life to serve you. I wonāt stop; in fact, I will be right there with you, as a citizen, for all my days that remain. For now, whether youāre young or young at heart, I do have one final ask of you as your President - the same thing I asked when you took a chance on me eight years ago. I am asking you to believe. Not in my ability to bring about change - but in yours. I am asking you to hold fast to that faith written into our founding documents; that idea whispered by slaves and abolitionists; that spirit sung by immigrants and homesteaders and those who marched for justice; that creed reaffirmed by those who planted flags from foreign battlefields to the surface of the moon; a creed at the core of every American whose story is not yet written: Yes We Can. Yes We Did. Yes We Can. THANK YOU, PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA FOR EIGHT AMAZING YEARS [2008-2016]
This judge had exactly the right reaction to the shameful way nonviolent prisoners are treated in US jails
A woman was denied pants or tampons after being arrested for not completing a diversion course that was part of her sentencing from a shoplifting charge. But see how the judge reacts when she finds out that the prisonerās humiliating treatment is apparently routine.

I just keep thinking of all the panic attacks Iāve had, all the times Iāve cried myself to sleep, all the years where I lived in terror every single moment because I was afraid I was going to be outed. Even now, living far away from that extremely homophobic environment, Iām paranoid.
I cant let people use my phone or computer for fear they might see something and tell everyone. I canāt go to a therapist because Iām literally terrified that once they know Iām gay theyāll immediately tell my entire family. Iām constantly checking myself in public to make sure Iām not being ātoo gayā, just in case someone I know from back home shows up here, 5 hours away, and sees me.
Even right this second, Iām considering that my mother could have placed surveillance software in my electronics and set up cameras in my apartment to watch and say āgotcha!ā when I finally slip up and show how gay I am.
To imagine experiencing my worst nightmare, especially on a literal global scale, is paralyzingly horrific. To think about people making jokes of it, or thinking Iām being overdramatic because āeveryone knew alreadyā, is sickening. To be forced to explain my sexuality to others before Iām ready to tell them is something Iāve experienced with friends, but to have to do it to people Iāve never even met? That would be panic-inducing.
Long story short: if you, especially if youāre LGBT+, look at this picture and this situation and arenāt immediately terrified for her and feeling sick, youāre a disgusting human being. This is someone being forced out of the closet by strangers, by people whoāve forced themselves into her life since day one, and demanding that she explain herself and her sexuality before she was ready to do it herself. Not only that, but youāve included an entirely separate person, someone who did not sign up to be included in the fucking circus y'all call a fandom, and sheās been outed and introduced to the world in one of the most traumatic ways it could happen.
To those of you who dare to talk about fucking Camren while sheās probably agonizing over her privacy (which is so so important to her), youāre the literal scum of the Earth. Youāre a vile, despicable excuse for a person. You can all rot in hell, go fuck yourselves.

i just looked it up and the highest recorded pitch for a softball player is 77mph by monica abbott and i did the math and it would take a 77mph softball pitch the same amount of time to get to home as a 114mph baseball pitch. the fastest recorded baseball pitch is 105mph. furthermore an average highly competitive softball pitch is like 72mph which is the equivalent of a 110mph baseball pitch and softball players hit that commonly and the defense can field it and get the runner out in less than 3 seconds i love women and softball goodbye
