Rest in peace, Caesar.
A month ago my Betta fish, Caesar, got a parasite inside his body and because of college finales I didn't notice he was sick up until two weeks ago, I tried to heal him with aquarium salt and indian almond leaves in a hospital tank with frequent water changes. To no avail, he passed away this night.
I couldn't get him proper medicine for his condition; I had no money as I spent half of it for my pet cats, Sushi and ET, for their food and vaccine (including food for stray cats as well) while the other half went to personal reasons (private/family matters that I can't and don't want to reveal). My father refused to lend me money as he thinks it's really ridiculous to buy a 15$ medicine for a dying fish.
I was confident that I could heal with aquarium salt and indian almond leaves, as I had already healed him from Swim Bladder disease with the same same stuff when I first took him from the pet shop.
I had plans to turn my aquarium into an aquascape but after his death I don't think I want to get another Betta, I loved him, played with him and even had conversations with him, it will be hard to just get another. Rest in peace.
