Isn't it sad that when you have a deep cut that's bleeding or a broken bone, people will constantly ask if you're okay - whether there is anything they can do to help. But if you tell someone that you're hauntingly sad, they won't check up on you. Or if they do, it's a rarity. It seems like people will only show compassion when they know the problem is temporary. Anything deeper and they back out.
just an observation.
We all kept passing each other. Likes cars on a highway. Each a blur to the other. Headlights blinding anyone from getting too close. Each sharing the same path, but oblivious to the other.
Travelling can be stressful at the best of times, but with the added hell that is anxiety? Painful. Here are some tips that I've picked up along the way.
My depression comes and goes like waves, and I am the clam that tries to bury itself before it gets washed away to sea. Yet most days, I am not fast enough. Digging through duvets like sand, and wiggling down until I am gone in the darkness; most days, I fail. I am not able to see the water coming over me. I am not strong enough to hold on to the coast. I am not awake enough to care. I am the clam that is washed away under tidal waves, swirling away in the never-ending whirlpool. Drowning.

I recently reread The Perks Of Being A Wallflower and forgot how much I appreciate this book. (The movie is also quite good for an adaption) Ch?arlie is the softest character I have had the pleasure of reading about (in a good way) for a long while - possibly since my last read of this slender novel. It's a convincing portrayal of the modern teenage life. Which is semi disheartening, but.. yeah. Have you read it? Let me know your thoughts. Any recommendations?
