Helloooo my beautiful bus! This is your captain speaking ;)
I have been severely neglecting ao3 recently (I'm sorry) but soon my angels...soon...I shall be posting some new stuff. For now, have another silly nsfw little snapshot. It is loosely inspired by a passing comment from @didisleftarmtattoos about how it would be hard for Didi to go from calling Julie 'Emily' to then calling her Julie. Therefore this is dedicated to didisleftarmtattoos, partly because of the inspiration, but mostly just because I think she's really cool and awesome. Enjoy all! (sorry the formatting is odd in places I can't fix it)
It had been a long, long week at work for the both of them. Julie had been desperately trying to solve a case for a new client that was extremely pushy about time scales, and Didi had dealt with what felt like an endless stream of incident reports and petty squabbles. It was Friday evening, and both of them had Saturday off, so they were settling in for a cosy night together after a week of just collapsing into bed as soon as they got home.
Originally, they’d been snuggled up on the couch eating Thai food and watching a movie, but all it had taken was for Julie to look at Didi for just a second too long, and they had moved things to their bedroom.
It was one of the rare occasions that Julie was feeling much more like taking charge, and so as they were shedding their clothes and making out, Julie was lying on top of her girlfriend, straddling her hips. After sucking a mark into Didi’s neck, only just low enough that it would be covered by a shirt, she started to slowly kiss her way down her body, occasionally taking skin between her teeth.
“I wanna eat you out,” Julie said, pausing briefly to look up at her, meeting dark eyes filled with love and lust.
“Oh my God, please,” Didi replied, opening her legs even wider.
Grinning, Julie pressed some kisses to her inner thighs, noting with a smirk how Didi’s legs were shaking with anticipation. Her tongue, firm and slow, licked all the way up her vulva, and Julie had to stop herself moaning aloud at the taste.
“Fuck, Julie,” Didi sighed, hands slipping into her hair.
Julie kept going, licks becoming more concentrated and insistent, as Didi’s grip tightened on her hair, pulling with a delicious pressure. She moaned softly, throbbing and getting increasingly desperate.
Didi was so, so fucking close, the hot tension in her gut growing stronger by the second at the calculated circles Julie was drawing on her clit.
Like lightning, Julie scrambled away from her. Dazed, Didi blinked heavily and pulled herself up onto her elbows.
“You just called me Emily,” Julie said, staring at her like a deer in the headlights.
“Oh my God,” Didi said, going bright red and slapping a hand over her mouth. “Oh my God, Julie, shit, I’m so sorry.”
“No, no, this is gross,” Julie said, getting out of bed and pulling her t-shirt on, pacing around the room.
“I wasn’t thinking about EMILY Emily, I promise!” Didi insisted. “I was thinking about you.”
“You said our friend’s name during sex!” Julie gasped, shivering with disgust.
“I’m so sorry, Julie. I was thinking about how badly I wanted to fuck you during the Pacific View Case. When you spent a month lying to my face about your identity, remember?”
“Emily is, like, my sister, Didi! No, no, I can’t deal with this,” she said, shaking her head aggressively, as if it would make the memory disappear, before walking out the room.
Didi shoved on her clothes and followed Julie through to the kitchen, and she slid her arms around her waist as she stood at the sink.
“I’m sorry,” she mumbled into her neck.
“Way to kill the mood,” Julie sighed, sipping her glass of cold water.
“I’ll make it up to you.”
“So do you have some fantasy about fucking our friend?”
“What? Julie, absolutely not. I have no interest in anyone except you. I’d rather get shot eight times in the chest than so much as KISS anyone else.”
“Correct answer.”
“But you know full well that the moment you first walked into Pacific View, I wanted to jump your bones. In a romantic and respectful way, of course. THAT was my biggest fantasy. And then, you were Emily Neiuwendyk, to me. I was just thinking about how attracted to you I was in that first moment we made eye contact. I’m sorry, baby.”
“It’s okay. I know you didn’t mean it. It just creeped me out. I think I forget sometimes that you did genuinely think I was Charles’ daughter for, like, ages.”
“Yes, because you’re an evil lying liar. And I love you so much.”
“I love you too,” Julie said, leaning back to press a soft kiss to her lips. “I am NOT gonna resume the sex after that, though.”
“I will make it up to you tomorrow, honey, I promise,” Didi said, pressing a string of soft kisses to her neck.
“You are forgiven.”
“Thank you. I really am sorry.”
“It’s okay, Di. It’s nice to be reminded how much you’ve always liked me, I guess.”
“Mhm. Even when I fucking hated your guts, I’d be haunted even in my dreams by how much I wanted to rail you.”
Julie smirked, kissing her again.
“Go back to bed, honey. I’ll make us some tea, and we can watch a movie.”
“Okay. I love you.”
“I love you too.”

The next morning, Didi set an alarm for 8am, and carefully snuck out of bed. Julie groaned when she got up, half asleep, but Didi pulled the blanket back over her carefully. She put her pillow vertically in the gap, and Julie rolled over to snuggle into it, mumbling something incoherently. Didi’s heart melted, and she leaned down to press the softest kiss on her forehead.
As silently as she could, Didi dressed in jeans and a t-shirt, brushed her teeth, and pulled her hair back into a little bun. She let herself out of their apartment, texting Julie that she had gone out for a walk just in case she woke up while she was gone.
Didi walked down the street to their favourite coffee shop, picking up an almond croissant and iced matcha latte for Julie, and an apple Danish and an iced coffee for herself. She then crossed the street to the florist, buying a big bouquet of lilies and carnations and a box of chocolates.
When she got back home, she peeked into their bedroom to find Julie stirring. She knelt by her side of the bed, brushing her hair off her forehead and pressing soft kisses to her face.
“Good morning, beautiful,” she said, when her eyes flitted open.
“Good morning,” Julie replied, smiling sleepily.
She slid her arms around Didi’s neck, pressing a soft kiss to her lips.
“Why are you up and dressed?” she asked, letting her go and sitting up properly.
“I went out to get apology gifts,” Didi said sheepishly.
“What? Oh, Di, you didn’t need to do that.”
“I wanted to,” Didi said, blushing a little.
“I love you,” Julie pouted.
“I love you too. I got flowers,” Didi said, presenting her with the bouquet.
“These are beautiful, angel.”
“And also chocolates. And coffee and pastries for breakfast.”
“Aww, from the place down the street?”
“Obviously. Vanilla matcha latte and almond croissant.”
“God, I adore you.”
“I adore you, princess.”
Julie leaned in to kiss her again, holding her face tenderly.
“Put the drinks in the fridge, and then apologise to me with our clothes off.”
