Y'know what though honestly. I don't actually think Minato would be all that upset about the way Naruto grew up.

Kushina would, obviously. There's no question there. I think knowing how spectacularly every single person in Konoha that she had some shred of faith in utterly failed her son and pissed on her memory in the process would drive her to vengeful madness. I think the fact that she spent her entire life swallowing her rage at the unfairness of her circumstances, fighting non-stop for every single scrap of respect and decency she could tear out of the world, only for the village that preaches comradery and the safety of children above all else to celebrate the death of a tool that expected to be treated like a human being by taking advantage of the fact that the next tool was a helpless infant who could be trained to just accept the abuse, would be her villain origin story. I think Kushina would not side with Obito about the moon thing but she also wouldn't care about him flattening Konoha to make it happen. Fuck that village, she regrets every second she wasted being loyal to a place that clearly felt no loyalty to her, and she feels stupid for ever believing it did.

Minato, though? Minato "fully chugged the koolaid" Namikaze? Minato "Loved Kushina enough to die with her but didn't love Naruto enough to live for him" Namikaze? That Minato?

Yeah I don't think he'd give a shit. From a political standpoint he's not fully on-board with the way the Third chose to handle that situation and like sure yeah as a father he wishes his kid had had a better life but ultimately The Hokage Is Absolute and Konoha Comes Before All so the fact that his own son was treated like a pariah by the very nation he gave his life for would Not be enough to radicalize him. He would be doing 5d chess with himself to justify it I do Not think that man is capable of thinking critically about Konoha.

My biggest kakashi & sakura thought rn is that even if kakashi didn't coddle and neglect her, he may not have been a good sensei for her.
