It’s that they’ve already given them some layers, so I know the writing of these characters will not be horribly shallow and rely on stereotypes. And we get to go to a Scottish castle. Also: time goes by fast. Four years will pass, perhaps surprisingly quickly. The last four years did, and so will the next four. I am not optimistic, but I am stubborn. I think we'll probably be okay. Not all of us, no, and not for the short term, but even that is not automatically destined to be terrible in all things and everywhere. Nothing is foreordained and nothing is inevitable. They are very stupid, mean, incompetent, vile, and cruel, but they are not smart. They are not evil geniuses. I am not going to assume ahead of time that they will magically be able to do everything they bluster about, or even that it will have the effect they imagine if so. Etc. etc., cardinal rule of living under fascism: do not obey in advance.

theres lots of underrated and underestimated characters in pjo but absolutely no one does it like Frank Zhang. My man is descended from not one, but two major gods, was so good at archery that he was convinced he was descended from another god, can LITERALLY turn into ANIMALS, went from Probatio to Praetor in less than 2 months, and had his life force tied to a peice of wood because he was deemed too powerful by a literal GODDESS. if frank isn't your favorite or most interesting character that makes sense, everyone has their favorites, but I'm sick of people acting like he's not one of, if not the, most powerful demigods in the series
