remember in 2013 when ‘not all men’ was broadly acknowledged as an unproductive way to react to feminist critique. everytime i see those ‘hating all men is a very sad and hag like behaviour :(’ type of posts i feel an ache for that moment of the digital age. in my bones.

each and every oppressed class is encouraged to use hyperboles to make sense of their oppression and to focus discourse on their experiences. each and every oppressed class! on this site and everywhere else on the internet! but when women do it, it’s ‘cringe’ and ‘juvenile’ and ‘suspicious’ and ‘sad’. and like I’m an adult lesbian, I don’t need to vent on the internet about my experiences, I have the autonomy to create my own conditions of living. but I feel so sad about the young women who are trying to make sense of why they feel like shit in a digital word that clearly sees the fight for womens right as something passé and embarrassing. makes me mad lol
