"cookies?" rose's eyes lit up at that word, "i love cookies. all types of cookies, but shortbread cookies sound amazing right now. please let me try your cookies. i'm sure they're amazing. i can’t promise i won’t eat all of them."

"maybe not a total bitch move, but being generic isn't the worst thing in the world," rose shrugged, "i'd rather see some basic-ass couples waltzing around than people in offensive costumes, i guess. unless they're dressed up as thing one and thing two. i irrationally hate that."

       ❝  i  was  out  grocery  shopping  earlier  after  my  teaching  my  last  yoga  class  and  i  was  looking  for  a  specific  flavor  of  cheez-it’s  but  then  got  distracted  by  that  giant  lobster  tank  by  the  seafood  department.  isn’t  it  sad  that  the  lobsters  pretty  much  hang  out  there  only  to  be  bought  and  eaten  by  people  ??  living  to  be  placed  in  a  pot  and  be  boiled  ??  anyways,  i  didn’t  get  my  cheez-it’s  but  i  ended  up  buying  all  the  lobsters  so  i’m  trying  to  figure  out  what  to  do  with  them  so  they  can  live  a  fruitful  life  out  of  grocery  stores  and  people’s  stomachs.  ❞  @vestalanding​

it took rose a second -- no, a minute -- to register everything she heard about lobsters, cheez-its, and such. "um," she finally managed to muster with a furrowed brow, "so now you just have lobsters. how many lobsters? where are these lobsters?" she paused, "i have so many questions about lobsters now. did you think this through?" rose pinched the bridge of her nose as she thought for another moment about these goddamn lobsters. "where are you going to put these lobsters?"

Sienna was leaning against the counter, papers spread across its whole surface in front of her as she scoured their pages. She was so focused on what she was reading that she forgot about her bandaged hand, going to lean on it before she gasped at the pain as soon as she put pressure on the injury. “Son of a-” She glanced up, smiling sheepishly when she noticed that she had drawn someone’s attention, “Sorry, just got super lost in what I was reading for a sec. Did you need anything?”

thrilled to finally have a day off, rose decided to start her morning with her favorite addiction: coffee. while sipping on her drink, she thought of all she had to do that day, her eyes focusing on the girl behind the counter as she winced in pain. "no, i'm okay! the coffee is great, by the way," rose assured her with a smile, noticing at the bandage on her hand, "hey, is your hand okay? sorry to ask, but it really looks like it's bothering you," she winced, "i hope i'm not being nosy as hell, though."
