This is the art that I did today, really pleased with it! It started off really well and wanted to keep it as it was but I was pushed to put 2 more layers on. This is only 3 layers of colour all in acrylic. The brief of it was to do our 1st layer of colour and it be the background, 2nd layer to be the middle ground and 3rd to be foreground. It's really abstract in comparison to my normal work but I really enjoyed letting loose!
I cannot bear my squiggle drawings any more. I am becoming too delicate - which is the reason I despise pencil and decided to learn how to use ink, which is immediate, black and dramatic.
Old habits die hard, I’ve become delicate again and the results are fucking ugly.
I need to keep practicing my cross hatching which I’m slowly getting better at and beginning to love. Especially crosshatch pornography.
Love
Love this man, it's the hands that do it for me! Saw an exhibition in the Leopold gallery in Vienna of his work recently and just made me love him more! Egon Schiele, inspiration for metal etching and colouring. Just makes me go weak at the knees
