“My. I can’t seem to get into rhythm today...” Sayo said, taking a break from her guitar out of frustration. “I suppose it’s not the same without everyone around here. Still...I can’t let up. I won’t let them leave me behind.”

“My. I can’t seem to get into rhythm today...” Sayo said, taking a break from her guitar out of frustration. “I suppose it’s not the same without everyone around here. Still...I can’t let up. I won’t let them leave me behind.”

Sayo looked around, feeling dejected. Her beloved ESP M-II custom made electric guitar wasn’t sounding so proper, and usually she’d take it to the guitar store to get it fixed but alas, she was on foreign grounds entirely. Was there anyone who knew how to deal with such machinery? @filamentstar
Ion couldn’t really tell what the girl was thinking about, but in any case she did seem distressed. Hmm..? Was she carrying a guitar?
“… Do you need any help?” She might as well offer.
“Eh?” Sayo turned around, noticing the brown-haired girl. “Hm, I suppose it wouldn’t hurt to ask.” She figured it was worth a shot anyway. “Would you happen to know anyone good at fixing this?” She unzipped the guitar case and held out the blue guitar. “It’s quite important to me.”
“It’s good to be back.” Sayo sighed as she was previously sick with a high degree fever. “I have to make up for lost time...I can’t afford to be slacking off anymore.”

“Being in this island is quite the inspiration for music, but there’s just a touch of home that I seem to be missing...” Sayo pondered. She was craving her old videogames, and people that she haven’t been able to see in awhile. It seems like the homesickness is getting to her.
“RAISE A SUILEN....Morfonica....Roselia cannot afford to lose. We will step up our game and show our determination.”

Sayo was keeping up with their pace. She wasn’t a confident leader, but a loyal follower through and through. Her job was to make the leader shine while keeping in tune with herself, after all. “That sounds like quite a spectacle. If I were to see it, perhaps it would inspire something within me…no best source of music than to hear tales of others after all. Weaving that into a song is our job.”
“A bard, then? I don’t meet a lot of bards, really… Though, I do enjoy a few song or two every now and then. I can ill afford to enjoy singing and dancing as of late…” He sighs. Then again, he’s not one to mingle about social events. Unless they’re more of the political sort.
His feet glide across the steps, picking up on the climax of the song before twirling her under his arms before finishing with a bow. The ballroom echoed with their final notes as they finished their song.
“That was fun. I haven’t really danced in a long time so my apologies for being rusty.”
“Bard...I see, that’s what we’re called in your world.” Sayo gave a small laugh. That sounded like one of the fantasy classes that her bandmate would talk to her about, but Isola really is a place just for these kinds of encounters.
“Indeed, I enjoyed my time. Shall we go check out other attractions? You seem to know the area better than myself.”
“It’s been awhile since I’ve started taking residence here...but I can never falter on practicing.” The girl took out her signature guitar, practicing without a music sheet on her. She knew her band’s melody by heart, and she’ll continue playing until she can reunite with them once more.

Sayo was surprised at his sudden desire to take initiative, but allowed him to take the lead nonetheless as she did her best to match his pace. “Alphinaud, is it? That name stands out amongst the ones I’ve heard. I’ll make sure to remember it well.”
The dancing continued as the marvelous spectacle helped to set the mood between the two. “Is an environment such as this commonplace where you come from? The best we could do is with stage effects, but this is something else.”
“I… can imagine. We are of different worlds, are we not?” Her name was very commonplace in the Far East, so he’s a bit more confident with his pronounciation. He would have mistaken her for a noble like he is til she mentioned of a guitar. A bard, perhaps? Maybe. But he seems to at least enjoy their little impromptu waltz, leading her along the ballroom with colourful melodies in their wake.
“No, not quite. But it’s unique in it’s own right. It’s exciting to experience this first hand. The only thing commonplace for me is the very crystal-like tower we have here.”

Fishy Wondering
“You simply had an aura for it, I can tell with my eyes.” Sayo replied in earnest. “You have the qualities of someone who would lead their bandmates around, I can feel it.” She then continued listening to Kanon, wondering what else you’d do beside hobbies or professional situation...but she wasn’t in a position to ask.
“Music is music, what everyone does with it is to each their own. Regardless, yes. I’m the guitarist for a band called Roselia, consisting of people I’m proud to call my friends.”

Sayo gracefully accepted the newcomer’s hand.”I offered because of the atmosphere, but I must say...I’m impressed with your technique.” She may not look like it, but she was experienced in dancing due to partaking in different club events and being a band member overall. She played along to Alphinaud’s tempo, as the whole area lit ablaze with their movements.
“I’m Sayo. I’m a better guitarist than I am a dancer, but I thank you for giving me this opportunity to dance.” The guitarist said, completely entranced with the music and atmosphere that the ballroom offered. “Might you care to tell me about yourself?”
Fishy Wondering
roseliasayo:
“Fish in fact, do not get that large…” Sayo responded with a bit of hesitance and bewilderment in her voice. Damn, what kind of person was she talking to? Some high form of royalty, right? Were fishes too lowly for the sovereign to look at?
“…I agree. They do look quite charming. My sister would be thrilled and delighted if she saw these.” Sayo remarked, observing the fish with the eccentric sovereign. “I recently have arrived here, so I admit I’m not used to this area’s unique attributes. I’m Sayo.”
“So they don’t….” She was a little relieved, but also disappointed. For something that had been said to be edible, when they had existed, she felt like it would have been just a hassle if all fish were this large. How would one butcher such a thing? The thought of how big the organs of the fish had to be to sustain one of such size almost made her want to go vegetarian.. Ah. Vegetarians also ate fish. Vegan, then.
Enough of that train of thought. “I’m pleased to meet you, Sayo. I am Kanoyeel, but please feel free to call me Kanon.” She smiled at the girl, observing Sayo’s intentions as a willing conversational partner as she moved to stay beside her. “You have a sister? Is she interested in fish in particular..?”
“Right. Fish aren’t particularly that huge where I come from.” Sayo repeated her previous statement, just to make sure they were on the same page. When Kanoyeel spoke, she had such an air of regality that Sayo felt compelled to listen regardless of whether or not she was actually royalty.
“A pleasure to meet you, Kanon. It feels wrong to address you informally, but I shall do so at your preference. As for my sister, she’s interested in...actually. I cannot say what criteria.” She gave a defeated sigh. “A plethora of things pique her interest, with zero consistency whatsoever. She isn’t here though, so I shall take this opportunity to learn new things and improve myself even more.” She proceeded to turn to Kanon and asked something completely out of left field. “Forgive my rudeness, but are you a vocalist? I can sense you have a superior sense of music than most people.”

Ever since Sayo’s arrival to this unique place, every day was a surprise for her. She’s seen fish larger than the ones from home, and also an instant gingerbread machine. She initially thought, “Nothing will ever phase me anymore...” but she was dead wrong. Sayo found herself wandering into a crystal palace with a unique ballroom.
The ballroom was completely dark, but per each step she took, a familiar tune would play and the area lit up brightly. “...it’s the tune that Roselia wrote about me. Determination Symphony.” She mumbled to herself, hopping and stepping about. She was dressed in her winter casual outfit: a grey cardigan with black stripes, complete with a white dress shirt and a long blue skirt. Not the fanciest dancing outfit, but it’ll do. Suddenly, an unfamiliar tune could be heard behind her...
“My. I’m not aware of who you are, but would you care to dance?” @moonstonescholar
