hihi friends. I haven't really made a new post in a while but things are..honestly worse. My fatigue has started hitting new lows. My body is constantly sick and I'm doing what I can to fix this but I'm on a wait list for a clinic. And it looks like I'm going to have to start buying my own food now which....I honestly can't afford nor have a place to store it. My birthday is going up on July 3rd and I don't really want I guess actual things. I just would like help with my bills and buying food if that's okay. If not, please reblog this. I'm tempted to make a video about journaling without rules.

People see journaling videos on TikTok, Instagram or YouTube and think they have to make something as aesthetically pleasing as those, and that's simply not true.

You don't need all the washi tapes, stickers, or expensive markers and pens to make something yours.

Your journal is meant for you. Your journal should grow with you. And if halfway through the journal, your aesthetic or goals change, then so be it.

Write upsidedown, slantways, hold the notebooks differently...there's just so many ways to jazz up your experience.

I finished Genevieve Jagger’s Fragile Animals again yesterday evening, and it remains my favorite novel. (Astonishingly, I feel so confident in that fact. It is my favorite book. I know it like I know the arrangement of my rings every morning or how to tell when cheesecake is done. But this is a discussion for another day.)

I think of the depiction of a gross, yet still seductive, vampire. I think of being frightened by finding the aspects of that who you most hate in that who you love eternally. I think of a kind, old woman in the right place at the right time. I think of self destruction, self hatred, and the fall of the house of usher. I think of swans, so animalistic.

Most of all, during and after this year’s re-read, I think of fruit and sexuality, and that “it’s worth knowing: like all good fruit, the balance of life is in the rot and ruin.”
