I think I might do a re-retake of Resignation Incident.
It came to me in a dream.

Sooo a bit of a disclaimer:
I do not support, condone, nor participate in activities such as incest, cannibalism, murder, sibling abuse, etc.
Despite this, I do actually think The Coffin Of Andy And LeyLey is a pretty good game. I mean, I haven't played it myself, but from what little I've seen, it's dark, it's disturbing, and y'know what? It comes with the territory of a horror game.
But back to the incest. The incest is an optional thing in the game. You can reach the "Sane Burial" endings without pursuing that path, as the incestuous choices are typically locked behind specific, avoidable player actions in Chapter 2 and beyond. When incest occurs, it is not portrayed positively; it highlights the trauma, corruption, and severely distorted reality of the main characters.
Now if I played it, I'd avoid the incest options like the plague. That'd go without saying. The incest is avoidable, however, the only true unavoidable thing in the game is the severe codependency and toxic dynamic between the siblings, Andrew and Ashley.
And I mean, I get it. I get why that would make some people, especially those with family trauma, uncomfortable. Hell, I have family trauma myself, and I think this game's not that bad. But, if it does make you uncomfortable, just don't play it.
Another thing I wanna draw attention to is the character flaws. Trust me, they're glaring flaws at that. But, look at Valentino from Hazbin Hotel. People genuinely like him as a villain. Now does that mean they support SA in the workplace as well as emotional abuse? No. It just means they like the character without supporting their actions.
Now, do I support or condone the actions of Ashley Graves? No. But, I do think she is a good villain. I think Andrew is a good character as well. I can enjoy a piece of media without supporting and condoning the actions of the characters, or hell, the creator. Harry Potter is a good example of this. I love Harry Potter, but I don't like Rowling.
Another example is Does Bad Things Guy from SML. I love Does Bad Things Guy, but I don't condone murdering people and hiding the corpses in the secret room.
It's like that Chikn Nuggit short, where Milkshek is conflicted about liking a character that did bad things, and Slushi confirmed it's fine as long as you don't condone nor participate in the actions the character did.
Here's the short in question BTW:

Anyway, take care of yourself, look after your mind and body, and don't be afraid to be weird.
Peace.
