This victory strengthens the soul of Xianghua! You win!
Cataleya looks around in time to see the subtle look of determination on her friendâs face. Seems Juliaâs gone soft without any one to play this game with.
Her smirk becoming a bit more prominent, she says, âSure thingâŠâ
And so they play another round. And another. They play until each of them has a few wins and Cataleyaâs had a chance to try other characters, like Seong Mi-na, Ivy, and Sophitia. Theyâre fun and pretty, okay? Kilikâs good, too.
âOkay, I need a break.â Quickly finishing the rest of her Blue Moon, she gets up to put the bottle in the garbage â or recycling, if Julia does that â and grab another from the fridge. âWant another one?â
Julia had really gone soft in all this time, or, maybe she was just too used to the mechanics of the later Soul Calibur games. Either way, she won about a third of the matches, which wouldnât have been too much of a problem, except this was a game she owned.
Still, once the first bits of alcohol kicked in, she didnât mind losing so much. It became more and more fun with each game, so much so that she was a little bummed theyâd be switching.
âYeah, grab me one while youâre up, okay?â During this break, Julia took a little time to rummage through the games. She wasnât quite drunk enough for Mario Kart, so... that left Super Smash Bros, a game great at any level of sobriety. Giving a soft grumble as she stood up, she unhooked the Dreamcast from the TV to plug the Wii U in.
