if i was reported i would've received an email about my account being in jeopardy. if it was a false report tumblr would have ignored it. you are fooling nobody

for those who don't understand, this is a scam that tries to dupe you into losing your account and paying in gift cards. this was spreading around on discord some months ago and targeted steam and discord accounts, and it seems like it's spread to tumblr.

this person (usually another compromised account) will come to you claiming they had 'accidentally' reported your account and that it is to be imminently banned/deleted. most of the time this person will try to redirect you to a fake "support agent" who will trick you into giving up your account by sending fake GIFs of the account or tricking you into sending screenshots with sensitive information like account tokens.

if your account is falsely reported, 99% of the time the report will be ignored and you will be completely fine. even if something were to happen to your account, you would know right away--discord (or tumblr, or whatever other platform) will usually send an email as well as a DM from its official support bot. if you're unsure, check your account standing.
