Had an interesting idea. I was thinking about the old Nether and how barren and dead it was. What if the old Nether is just really far in the future from the new Nether. I mean all plant life is gone the piglins are all dead or zombified and even the bastions collapsed so there not there anymore. Of course not a cannon idea, but you can really see it if you look at the old and new Nether side by side.

I (for now at least) am done with my nether base! this definitely ended up being a bigger project than I thought but I'm super happy with how it all came together! once I have access to a silk touch tool I'll finish the nether wart farm because the blocks I need require it. but yeah I'm glad I have a good looking base, most of the time I put no effort but because this is on my forever world I figured that I would want to make it look nice :]
