a very important date: rosie & frank
@rosetrelawney
Hogsmeade shone brightly under the burning sun, the cool air frigid despite the ferocity of the sky. November was too breezy for Frank, but it also meant Quidditch. You win some, you lose some, Frank thought to himself, shrugging. He wore a blazer with hat, gloves, and scarf to ward off the cold, but it was impossible for the wind to not penetrate his defenses. He hoped Rose had dressed warmer than him. She was always so careless that he seriously worried sheâd get sick at any point when they were outside.
Speaking of his girlfriend, where was she? At this point, Frank no longer blushed at the word girlfriend, even when spoken in his head. Almost one month had passed since their awkward Halloween fiasco, but the Hufflepuff had been surprised what that night had turned into. When the school year started, heâd thought heâd be too busy for any sort of relationship, but he couldnât just ignore that he liked Rose. Especially when he knew she liked him and they had slept together already. Honestly, he was beyond relieved that he had listened to the voice that told him to stop being a wanker and just go on a date because this was probably the happiest heâd been in the entirety of his school experience, albeit the most exhausting one.
Just as he began to worry that Rose wasnât going to show, he was nearly toppled as the weight of someone smaller than him attached itself to his back. âRosie,â he gasped. âI know I told you to stop tackling me.â
Rosemond giggled and gave him a kiss on the cheek as she hopped off of his back. âSorry Iâm late, I had to feed Lucy.â Donning his hoodie, which was far too large on her, Rosie moved next to Frank and sidled up under his arm. âYouâre warm,â she grinned. âSo what did you have planned for us today? I do hope it involves butterbeer, because itâs a little more nippy out than I anticipated.â As It was, Rosie hated fall - she much preferred the warmer weather. Fall was only a reminder that winter was coming, which represented death and darkness in her mind. Yet this year, she found herself not dreading the depressing weather.Â
In short, Rose was truly the happiest sheâd ever been at Hogwarts. The brief month that the two dated felt more like years; never before had she known someone who so completely understood her, and never before had she cared so much for one person, save for her mother and barn owl. She and Frank seemed to balance one another out seamlessly, and she already found herself wondering if she was in love with him. Her feelings for Frank were an entirely new experience for her - she hadnât even felt this way about her ex, for Merlinâs sake. Looking up at her boyfriend, Rosie felt a rush of euphoria and rested her head on the crook of his shoulder.
