sun-mi | when u prosecutor com home and choose hte death | endgame | attn: masami/valentina
She never doubted that she was right. A hero didnāt just mess up in the face of her arch-enemy, no- she would make sure the dastard got what they deserved. And it would seem that Tsubame was getting just that. Sun-mi hadĀ knownĀ there was something about her, always cracking jokes, antagonistic. She should have known not to doubt it- what was it? Her heroās instinct to search out danger. It just sounded silly when she thought it like that.
She watches Tsubame cry and explain herself with an expression of contempt. Ugh- covering for herself. There was no excuse for murder- love, this āwant of a better worldā, it was all justā¦bullshit. Sun-mi makes it clear when their little mastermind calls her out, her face splitting into a smirk. She makes a point to show how she feels- still smirking, she turns away, a petty way to show exactly how little Tsubame means to her anymore.
You had entertained the notion of being her friend, hadnāt you? That all ended when the music box was opened- with the crack of Aomi Tadaoās head.
āGo to hell.ā
Her only words for Tsubame before she turns and shuffles over to Keichiās podium. As the other girl is dragged away and frozen, she discretely takes his hand, leaning on his shoulder.Ā
Ah, so we made itā¦
She was a hero now, wasnāt she? Sheād caught the villain- she had friends, god forbid- she didnātā¦hate herself? So, sheād achieved her biggest goal.
Sun-mi Choi is happy, she decides, tuning out the talk of leaving the center. Sheās finally forgotten her stupid past andā¦helped to save them all.Ā
She doesnāt expect Monokoi to be left behind, however. As theyāre ushered onto the boat, she keeps a vice grip on Keichiās hand, but turns back to look at the pirate.Ā
"A date. You gotta tell me all about that when you guys get outta here, alright? I meanā Uhā¦"Ā
"Hey, when we get out, I know a really good restaurant that makes, like, super spicy food. We can go, yeah?"
Well, it looked like that plan was going nowhere. She watches him standing on the dock alone. Itās sad, really. So, before her shitty vision stops her from seeing anything else of the center, she leans over and yells as loud as she can, louder than sheās yelled since she arrived, thatās for sure.
"THANK YOU!"
Then, somewhat satisfied, she files after the rest of the class.Ā Sheād tell him about the date, then. In the least loser-like way possible.
āāāāāāāāāāāāā-
She decides after being on the boat thing for a while that she most definitely hates water with all her heart. The constant rocking was making her nauseous. She could barely look at her games- which seemed to be finally running out of battery. These darn Astral Cabal losers. Why couldnāt they just teleport them out of there?
Ah, well. Being social never hurt anybody. She eventually stands, emerging from the room with the beds and shuffling into the hall. Ah, yes. The lounge would be nearby, wouldnāt it? By some stretch of the laws of physics. She could start up a game of Mario Kart, maybe. Or harass someone into playing Street Fighter with her. In a nice way, of course. She was a hero now. Only heroic, nice things for her.
She pauses a few steps into her journey, scratching her burn thoughtfully. If the dead kids werenāt really dead, thenā¦
"Heeeeyā¦Valā¦you around, orā¦gah, this is stupid! Like talkinā to ghosts is gonna work. Stupid."
Her expression sours and she toes at the ground before continuing down the hall. Apparently notĀ everything can be happy, then.
To Masami, there wasnāt much to do on this boat other than look around and talk to people. It was something, definitely, but for the most part, the moment he got on the boat- Masami found himself bored. The fleeting feeling of freedom wasnāt enough to fix that, with escape on his mind being something near close to distracting.
But he managed to find things to do, managed to find people to talk to. As long as he had that, this entire trip wouldnāt be too awful. It didnāt matter what they were talking about, as long as they, well, talked. He tugged on the sides of his sleeves as he walked, waiting for a voice, waiting to hear someoneās voice. Anyones.
Then- Sun-mi. This was a girl who Masami had mixed feelings about, adoration and gratefulness jumbled up with enormous envy. There was a bit of hesitation as he walked over to talk to her, blinking and moving with something of a skip in his step.Ā
The words she was saying rather interested him, too. Something about Val? Valentina! Whether Sun-mi had agreed to meet with her here somehow or was just looking, it was more than enough to catch his interest. With a grin and a wave, Masami now rushed towards Sun-mi, proceeding to talk with a tone a bit too excited for the current situation.
"Heelllo, Sun-mi! Iām not the person youāre looking for, I know, I know⦠but⦠Iāll more than help you find Valentina, yeah? Sheās someone I miss a lot, mhmā¦"
His tone falters at the end, turning his head towards the side and scratching his chin. He says nothing for a few seconds before he proceeds to look back and continues to talk, his tone now only slightly more calm.
"So! Itād be cool to look for her, right? Like a squad, or something⦠let us head off!"
Well, Valentina was having a wonderful time so far. Being a hologram (that was the term, yes?) was proving less inconvenient so far than she'd initially thought it might be, being that she didn't really know what one was. The only sticking point so far had been the apparent lack of her violin and other items, the girl not quite managing to put her finger on where all that had gone. Due to the fact that she had absolutely no idea what on earth had happened back in the land of the living.Ā
But no matter!
The girl seemed honestly quite content simply making her way around the ship, occasionally smiling or offering a cheery hello to those she passed or even just saw from a distance. There was slight confusion lingering in her mind however, surfacing now and then as Valentina continued moving. For her to have woken up in that place with Hoshiko... someone must have killed her, mustn't they? She didn'tĀ rememberĀ seeing her killer. Had they held a trial for her? Or had her death just straight up signaled the fall of the villain in their midst, the one that had trapped them all there?
It had to be the latter, of course.Ā Oh, but this was yet another chapter! Of some kind. Only time would tell exactly what.Ā
It was with a content hum of a melody that Valentina basically twirled herself through the areas and hallways the ship contained, never once stumbling even with the shoes she had as she stepped herself around now and then in her walking. The girl continued like this with an occasional childish giggle, step step twirl, step step twirl, for a while- until the scene blurring before her was suddenly different, a streak of bright colour becoming mixed up with the lighter colours of the boat's interior.Ā
"...Oh!"
She had to take a few moments to stop herself from continuing to spin or stumbling, Valentina teetering quite precariously for a few moments before finally steadying herself to face Sun-mi and Masami.Ā
Wait.
Sun-mi and Masami had found her?
"Choi-chan! Kinoshita-chan! Oh gosh! You're here too! Apologies- I'm not really sure what exactly is happening! Ah! But it feels like we weren't ever separated! Hello!"
Does this girl even recognise the fact that she died?
