"Why did you come out?", he answered, unwilling to lie to her but just as unwilling to say the truth.
He certainly didn't expect her to come out again. He especially didn't expect the tiny pout that appeared on her lips as she mumbled, "Something annoyed me so I decided to come outside".
Hinata? Annoyed? It was a rare sight but Sasuke couldn't deny he amusement that swirled in his chest at the sight, though if he were honest it was funnier when he was the reason for such a reaction–the lie regarding the batter on her face and her response came to mind.
He had already decided she wasn't annoying but he did determine that she was infact annoyingly... cute.
It was a thought that made the tips of his ears flush.
...Whatever, he could blame it on the cold weather.
With a slight smirk he drawled, "what evil action incurred your wrath?".
Her frown deepened even if her eyes swam with amusement. Yes, it was definitely funnier if he was the perpetrator.
"Nosy, aren't you?", she teased back.
Sasuke exhaled what sounded like a laugh before focusing at a distance point away, strangely calmer than he had been moment prior.
"You do kendo, right?", Hinata asked seemingly out of nowhere.
How did she know? Oh, Itachi probably mentioned it.
Curiosity had her eyes widening slightly which made her already round eyes appear even larger.
He raised a brow. Any martial art is difficult.
"Why? Do you plan to get into it?", He asked, pausing as an image of Hinata recklessly waving a stick entered his mind, "can't imagine you being able to hold a sword... even a wooden one".
He knew his tease worked when Hinata raised her chin, trying to look down on him. Needless to say it was ineffective since Sasuke was taller than her.
"One time as a kid, I hit Neji with a stick so I think if I tried I could quickly get better than even you Sasuke", she childishly argued.
