I’ve been rather busy with a big project, but a couple of things have happened in the meantime:
Escalator 2016, run by Norwich Writer’s Centre - Fiction Category - Highly Commended.
Forward Prizes 2016 - ‘Death comes to me as an Argos van’ nominated in Best Single Poem category - big thank you to Lighthouse for this one!
Work forthcoming in Brittle Star.

Wrote a poem about living in manky damp flat, sent it to Lighthouse, they put it on the internet.

Got a poem in this, it’s about being crashed into by an Argos van.
Had the pleasure of reviewing some great little collections for this cracker of an issue, including Rachael Allen’s beautiful, beautiful Faber pamphlet.
I have a pome in this, but in all honesty you should read all of the others like Daisy Lafarge, for example, who is too, too good.

House ghost: #selfie looking out over the darkening gardens behind my little cottage. I've just returned to it, my sister and I having left for Santiago and Cairo respectively last October without really knowing whether we'd ever want to or be able to come back to it. And now I'm back haunting my old room. I'm looking out over the treetops, watching the bats wheeling in and out of view and thinking about the flocks of slender, silvery pigeons that beat their way through the Cairo smog every evening. All the way home.
