Ok so here's a #healthupdate! I was doing really well until a few weeks ago & then I went into a crazy #RA flair & they think the change in the weather was a huge part in that too. My legs haven't been this bad in years & it was freaking me out. I have been in crazy amounts of pain & not been able to do anything on my own like walk or even move my legs some days. But the good news is I am starting to see some improvement again. My whole body has been bad, but I did steroid injections deep into my knee joints (hence the iodine knees) and I think that really helped the inflammation in them so I'm super excited about that. Im doing new meds for pain management that I think are starting to finally help too & I'm at a place in the RA treatment where some of the meds still need about 2 months to start working to see if they will work on me & then we will know where to go from there with how I respond. So for the time being I just have to hang in there and manage my pain as best as possible. Unfortunately it's taken over my moms life too since I can't move without her or someone else. But because I have some great doctors on board & finally a diagnosis, things seem to be just a little easier than before. Having doctors who will help you & understand what's going on with you & reassure you that this is normal & there's a cause & things actually will get better & they will help me really has made such a difference. So much better than when they would throw their hands up and say I don't know...it'll probably get better with time? Hopefully? But because of these awesome docs & my fam, I was able to make the drive to St. George for the marathon this weekend. (My crazy dad & bro😊) I didn't actually make it to the race, but I'm out of the house & that is HUGE progress for me this month. The drive was ROUGH but I'm so glad I decided to come last minute! I'm finally seeing improvement again over the last few days & Im so excited about that & so grateful! I hope I just keep doing better & better & we won't ever have to be back in this place again. #flair #ice #orangeknees #iodine #procedure #steroidinjections #upandup #pain #tendonitis #sick #sicknotweak #family #hope (at Murray, Utah)
