Rossitza Todorova

I am an artist working primarily on paper. In my drawings, I depict how nature is altered by our need for movement and travel, resulting in the imposition of horizontal and vertical markings of our physical and visual space. I draw man-made roads, bridges, and infrastructure that project out from the suburban edges of our cities into what is still undeveloped open space. I am interested in the fringe of suburban development and the ever-continuing human quest to connect and expand cities and towns. This is my visual journal for images and ideas.
