Adad Hannah's piece, Two Crates, displays both the creation and presentation of an image that the artist found memorable. The image is of a women reading a book. In the background there is a twig with a bird on it. They both have a memorable gaze that the artist wanted to capture but was unable to. Two Crates demonstrates how Hannah went about creating this image and what the final image turned out to be from both the front and the back. This work involves two small separate crates. Each crate has a window, branch, stuffed bird, wooden strands, a plastic model, her costume, a media player, and a plasma television. The plasma television provides a recorded image of this women and the background, which is the final presentation of the image. It is actually a recording of the background behind the television. Behind the television is a spread out version of the background, which represents the creation of the image. There are two crates. One is the image from the front of the women and one is the image from the back of the women. This work was first exhibited at AXENE07 as part of object indirect object. The full images of this work and the videos from the plasma screens can now be seen on Adad Hannah's website. By seeing the full image and the screen shots online the viewer can fully understand this piece. The video provided is a thirty second clip of the front view of the women reading.
