Finished mixing the album we’ve been working on since February (Acid Wave full length). By my count a total of 28 1/2 days (21 days total of tracking, 7 1/2 mixing). It is definitely the best work I’ve ever done and I am so excited for when it comes out next year. ❤️❤️❤️

Full stop.

I’m knee deep in mixing an album for a band from here called Acid Wave… really catchy and original dream pop sort of sound. I’ve been sending a lot of sounds back out of Pro Tools to hardware processors and guitar pedals. This is the tail end of a vocal being sent out to an Echoplex tape delay. I’m turning up the Echo Repeats control until it feeds back on itself and gently slowing the tape down to a stop to make spooky warbles. I did this twice with different lengths of delay and panned each to one side so they surround the listener. It sounds really spacey and cool. 🔥
