ROME CLEANUP PART 1 - AS ROMA

A huge against AS Roma with outstanding play! During the first half we were holding better but with not much chances in front of goal, while in the second 45, we absolutely bossed it. Control of the ball is on a very high level and the confidence of the players is really there. Rock solid defense, Roma only tried attacking from the wings or attempted shots from distance, showing how much they were limited by Bonucci and Romagnioli in attack. 

Off-the-ball movement, especially in the middle of the park, is now very well organised, Gattuso deserves much credit here. Constant reassuring play between all players, who move a triangle along, making  sure at least one is available and can build up the play.

The two Primavera goals from Cutrone and Calabria showed intelligence - Patrick shined once more with his amazing poacher skills and Davide’s goal was one of the most beautiful team goals I’ve seen from Milan for a long time.

Would’ve been the assist of the year. 

The match against Sampdoria itself was one of our best this season. The 1-0 result may speak otherwise, but we were infallibile in all aspects. We kept pushing Samp after scoring, contrary to how we dealt with being in front in previous seasons. Props for Gattuso on sending the message and installing that winning mentality this squad needs.
