I fear I've had a concerning amount of dreams where I go to an amusement park, aquarium, zoo, wherever and there is an animatronic there that I become transfixed by. Usually they sing and move, sometimes they talk as well. But I can never look away, and then I can't stop thinking about them, even when I wake up. And I've noticed this when seeing real life animatronics too. Just how they work; how they perform and seem so alive; how you don't see robots, but characters with personalities and emotions. God, it's so cool!

Anyway, my friends want me to get evaluated for autism.

Basically the flowers in chapter 5 (except Flowery) represent the 6 fallen humans (excluding Chara). Their personalities are what each of the humans would've been like if they got to live. The latest chapter was Toby's way of letting them live their dreams for a short while, just how Asriel got to grow up and live his life.

And stay with me here, imagine an Undertale AU where Asgore takes in the 6 fallen humans, and their personalities are like the flowers in Deltarune 😭

This but with aroace and any character I relate to. Sasha from Psychonauts and Floofty from Bugsnax are already victims of this. I know these two are probably stereotypical aroace picks, but this is just me projecting myself because they're relatable lmao.

Also Loid and Yor from Spy Family are queerplatonic because I say so. I want to be in a relationship like theirs. Not quite romantic, but more than platonic.

Every Writer Should Watch Soy Frankelda

I'm going to be as spoiler-free as I can.

This film is a celebration of many things. It's a celebration of folklore, of Mexico, of the arts, of women. But it is especially a celebration of writing. Specifically, how stories can shape the real world. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone who hasn't been impacted by a favorite book, bedtime story, or even a song. But what resonated with me the most was how stories can effect the writer. Frankelda grows past her doubt and imposter syndrome with the help of the creatures she created. Ultimately, isn't that why many of us write? To explore and grow within ourselves, and to help readers do the same in the process? Many writers, myself included, get into it because it feels satisfying and cathartic. Think back to that overly-dramatized diary entry you wrote in middle school, or that one fanfic you wrote that projected your experiences onto your favorite characters. Isn't it fascinating how reality and fiction can shape each other?

If you want a reminder on why you became a writer, I implore you to watch Soy Frankelda on Netflix.

(But maybe watch the miniseries on HBOMax first. It will only take an hour. You don't have to in order to enjoy the artistry, but it makes the movie a lot easier to understand storywise.)
