when we think of heroism, we think of characters like superman, spider-man, wonder woman, and the likes. a hero is typically someone who is recognized for their selflessness, courage, noble qualities, etc. but what about those who have done good deeds and not been recognized? are they still a hero?
that raises the questionāwhat makes a hero? is it recognition? their selflessness and willingness to help someone in need? and better yet, what makes a villain? maybe itās the fact that they do morally good or bad things for whatever reason and one canāt exist without the other. but what if heroes werenāt so damned noble and selfless? what if the villains arenāt so evil?
this collaboration is centered around anti-heroes and anti-villains, aka characters who do good deeds for the wrong reasons and vice versa.
first come, first serve basis. i can not guarantee you get your first pick.
any genre is welcomed, (including smut as long as you are 18+ and itās not involving sungchan, chenle, and jisung. maximum suggestive for them) as long as you follow the story of an anti-hero or an anti-villain.
does not have to be reader insert! any member x original character fics are welcomed as i, myself, write in such a format.
the minimum word count is 2k (two thousand). if you struggle to meet that quota, iād be happy to help you refine some things and add more detail to your story! there will also be a brainstorming and feedback chat in the server.
to join the collab, dm @jitaros with the member of your choice. again, it is a first come, first serve basis, so there is no guarantee.
there are 22 slots available, as i, juno, will be taking one for myself. once again, it operates on a first come, first serve basis.
once you are accepted into the collab, you will be sent a message including a link to the discord server and a few details.
joining the discord server is mandatory. this allows for easy and fast communication between all of the participating writers and staff. you will post here if you change your url, and where your fic drops will take place so i donāt have to scramble for them.
the deadline isnāt until april 2023. this gives you plenty time, since i know there are a lot of nct collabs going around to participate in. the last thing i would want is for you to be pressured to finish something like this so quickly.

Theme: "summer magic" | Although the title of the event loosely translates to "summer night's magic" in English, you don't have to write about summer nights. The two things you need in your entry to fit the criteria, however, are your personal interpretations of what "summer magic" can be.

sorry i disappeared. truth be told, life has been a bit overwhelming. i feel like i should at least give a heads-up before prolonged periods of radio silence, but anyway!
regarding this blog, there are a few things i'd like to talk about:
my jisung fic,Ā in between the lies,Ā is currently on hold for now. the deadline for this was actually last month but mid-march to early june was a rough time for me so i wasn't really able to work on it as much as i wanted to. and since the collab i was writing it for has been cancelled, i'd like to focus on the fics i'm writing for existing collabs which i joined. to those who expressed interest in the fic, i'm truly sorry. i sincerely hope you're still around by the time i do get to finish it but, for now, it's going to be put at a lower priority.
speaking of collabs, i'm thinking of posting a wip list (which i've actually been considering for a while but my perfectionist tendencies are getting in the way, as they always do.) it'll be a way to keep track of what collabs i'm in and will hopefully be interesting for you as well, serving as somewhat of an informal teaser for fics i have planned. please let me know if you'd be interested in this!
still on the topic of collabs, i'm planning to make some changes with the collab i'm currently hosting, modern magics. some slots are still open and participants who leave usually express that they're worried they might not make the deadline. i'm currently considering getting rid of the deadline altogether. i'll be announcing the changes in the discord server soon once i finalize the details. (also i'm so sorry for the inactivity of the server, and i'm very grateful to all of the participants for their patience and to those who showed interest!)
and finally, Luckier has reached 300 notes!!! i can't even begin to express how thankful i am to everyone who read it and enjoyed it enough to leave a like and/or reblog. i am honestly floored by this achievement and i can't wrap my head around the fact that it received so much attention when it was just inspired by an imaginary conversation about butter that i thought was pretty funny. i offer my heartfelt thanks to everyone who gave it a chance. honestly, i only really write these fics because i love the boys, but it's so fulfilling when i see that people enjoy the silly little ideas that camp out in my head until i write them down.

Established on July 1st, 2021, this network is an NCTĀ safe-for-work exclusive writing community that aims to build a safe space for readers of all ages. Writers who wish to connect with each other are also more than welcome to apply and have their works shared to the masses.Ā

To keep your membership in kokonomi, you must post at leastĀ one ficĀ per season. We know you have lives outside of the internet, and the least you could do is, for example, post a single fic in the summer, autumn, winter, then spring. The theme of this collab is Reverse Chronology.
That is, the story should be written in the reverse order, from the ending to the beginning.
For example, if I was to write a story on how a couple fell in love but one of them dies, i would start the story with the funeral scene and then end it with the day they met.
