No. Ann ships herself with Bill, drawing disgusting pictures of herself with him, imagining him in her dreams.

She's a misanthrope, terribly jealous of him with others, even his mother. That's the absurdity of my character.

Ann truly thinks Bill is her property. And she does disgusting things with his image in her head. (I don't draw such things, and I won't switch from satire to trash.)

Just know, a character SHOULD REPEL YOU OFF, not likable.

April VS July (again.)

Sketches for today. Redrawing the crap I drew back in April. I'm just struggling with feelings of inadequacy. Will I render these sketches? Who knows...

how do you draw? do you have a sketching process for it or do you just freehand it.

For "work" drawings I usually do rough layouts in blue pencil on sketch paper, and refine the lines with red pencil. Sometimes I do a series of sketches before I'm happy with a layout. I tighten the rough drawing up in HB or B/2B pencil. I take the rough and put it on a lightpad to trace the drawing onto bristol board. I ink the pencils with Tombow pens and other tools. Layouts are where you figure out the structure of the figures, backgrounds, props, etc, and the overall composition.

If I'm just drawing for the hell of it or working on a pinup or whatever, I might skip doing a rough layout and just work it out on the board. Light pencil lines, scribbles to place things, a loose structural pencil drawing that gets tightened up further in darker pencil before inking. The thing is to "plot out" the drawing, like a building needs a structure, a figure needs a structure, laying out figures and forms before tightening lines and shapes. Not just drawing everything out without a plan, starting a head and not knowing where the body is going to be or how it will be posed, that's how we draw when we're starting out. But you need to work out the under drawing, a skeleton frame or series of shapse to ground the finished figure or object. There's tutorials all over youtube showing how artists approach layout and structure for their artwork. Far better artists than I am, to boot.

She is a character meant to satirize a certain type of person. Ann treats Bill like her property. She views him as an object, not a human being. She couldn't care less about him. She doesn't love him in the conventional sense; she simply wants to possess him, like a true collector.

And… She’s a stalker.

Development of a visual novel based on the Eltingville Club began today.

I’ve written a couple of script drafts and the first four endings.

I’ve worked out the mechanics and am currently mulling over the visual style - the color palette and the character anatomy (should it be more grotesque or more realistic?).

I’m determined to finish development sometime around August or September.

It’s a comedy visual novel, so it shouldn't be taken too seriously.

I’m working on the project solo - handling the coding, graphics, and script. I’m not sure about the music and sound effects yet...

But think of it as a dating sim.

I haven’t breathed a word about my project here… But I’ll finally bring myself to say something. It’s not just an OC/Canon thing or some fan shipping comic. I’m a writer, not an artist at all as you might have thought. From April up until today, I’ve been working on my idea and polishing it-simultaneously creating the script and developing this alternate universe. I’m a young playwright, and working in a satirical format is quite an experiment for me, as is working with the visual aspect. Right now, I have the completed story and am breaking down the plot in detail. I'll spend July and August working on the designs, learning how to draw actual comic books instead of comic strips, and working on animations. I love working with contrasts: a bright wrapper and a dark, gloomy interior. I just hope… I really hope I don’t burn out, since I've been working on this idea nonstop for two months straight …

Though… this is just a shitpost, just screaming into the void. Don’t react to this if you’re not interested. My project is mostly based on my self-hatred anyway.
