He is. He looks just like dad. Kev told me his genes were strong but my other two look just like me so I thought my genes would prevail. Nope. 😂 Kev's dad sends us the coolest onesies. He has a Motorhead one too.
Here's my 7 month old. He's growing like crazy. I don't have updated pictures of the other two because they both scream and run when I ask if I can take their picture. Lucas can't run yet.
How are the kids?
They're wonderful. Mads and Cody haven't really changed much, just getting older and sassier. Lucas is almost 8 months old and growing like a weed! He needs to slow down so I can savor every little bit of the baby stage.
I never get on here anymore. Everything still the same shit different day?
Today we go to the courthouse and I officially take his last name. I asked him if he was ready and he told me we've been married for years already. Haha.

Thank you! I'm really surprised he doesn't look a thing like me. My DNA was strong with the other two and this kid looks like a mini Kev. I think all he got from me was my complexion.

Uncle Eli and aunt Tabitha got Lucas this teepee toy and I love it. It's so cute.
Today was Lucas's official due date and instead he's 9 days old.

Obligatory birth story post. I'll preface by saying I'm so tired of people telling me "you had the perfect birth. I want fast labors like you". No. It wasn't perfect at all. It was fucking terrifying. So Monday I woke up about 2:30am and felt a popping sensation in my pelvis. I knew before I even started leaking my water had broke. I sat up and told kevin it was time to have a baby. While trying to get cleaned up in the bathroom i realized there was meconium present. I called my mom to come to my house with my other two so we could leave. I went into the living room to call my MIL and my brother. I stood up from the couch to get my shoes and the infamous gush came. I then called L&D and explained we were coming now but it was a 45 minute drive. We finally got in the car at 3:15am and started our way to the hospital. I was having contractions every minute but they weren't too strong. By the time we got to the hospital I was still having contractions every minute but they were fairly painful and taking my breath away. We walked into L&D and they got my settled in a bed. It was 4:00am. I was dilated 4cm (was previously a 3 a few days prior) at that time. After hooking me up to the toco monitor we quickly realized Lucas was in distress. His heart rate was literally a flat line with zero acels or decels with my contractions. My blood pressure was through the roof and they feared pre-eclampsia. They turned me on my side and administered oxygen. I remember telling the nurse "I'm too old for this shit. I change my mind. I want pain medications." because previously I had said I wanted another natural birth. She told me until baby responded that wasn't happening. The on call doctor ordered a fetal scalp monitor to better watch Lucas. The nurses checked me again and I was 5cm. She left to get the monitor and when she got back she was about to put it on his head and I remember her saying "she's rimming" aka I was 9cm. They nixed the scope at that point and called the doctor to come in asap. I kept thinking to myself "my baby isn't going to make it" and I was scared shitless. It's all a blur time wise, but it wasn't long and I told the nurses I have to push. Kev tells me it was less than 10 minutes. They told me to breathe through the contractions because the doctor wasn't there yet (Hahahaha yeah right) and I flipped on my back and said no I have to push. Two pushes later and Lucas came out screaming his head off. The doctor showed up literally a minute too late. He was born at 4:49am weighing 8lbs 6oz and 19.5" long with 8/9 apgar scores. It was 2 hours and 15 minutes from the time my water broke until he was born. I'm so thankful we made it to the hospital in time and that he was healthy because I honestly thought in those moments I was going to be planning a funeral instead of celebrating a new life.
Lucas decided to come into the world with a bang Monday morning!
My water broke at 2:30am, we got to the hospital at 4:00am, and he was here at 4:49am. He evacuated so fast the nurses had to deliver him.
He weighed 8lbs 6oz and is 19.5 inches long. That was the most insane labor I’ve ever experienced. I remember getting there and telling the nurses “Fuck this pain. I’m too old for this shit. I need morphine or an epidural.” But he came so fast there wasn’t time so I got a third labor pain med free.
We got to come home yesterday and to my surprise he’s a boob champ!
When lab calls saying that the sample that they’ve had for 3 hours is clotted or hemolyzed
