I did finish to dormer windows after I made the mockup....but yes. I’d imagine that planters would look nice beside the future porch. I’m eventually going to add the grey bricks on the corners.

Stormcrest Apartment Model Progress
Basement: Not started
First Floor: Floors, Doorways, Windows, Walls, and stairs are complete. The bathroom is complete. The porch floor is set, but needs to be started.
The walls are 12 feet tall, the doorways are 8 feet tall by 3 feet wide.
Adjustments: So I did some digging for dimensions of stairways and doors and other junk because Perfectionism~ said so. Because of that, I had to make adjustments to the floorplan. I got rid of the Weird Little Room behind the Dining Room and shifted the Foyer. Kind of sad about that because it could have been a cute little mud room :[
Oh! So, I kept that weird little room between the Living Room and the Common/Billiards room. I originally modelled the arches at first, but that was Not Symmetrical to the other side of the fireplace so I’ve started to model one of these Bookshelf-that-is-secretly-a-door instead. I thought it would be a fun idea to make a trapdoor on the ceiling as well. You’ll see that when I upload images next time.
Second Floor: Floors, Doorways, Windows, Walls, and stairs are complete. The 3 bathrooms are laid out, but need work.
12 foot ceilings, 8′x3′ doors.
The front-left bedroom has a private bathroom. Then there’s the middle-left bedroom, then the back-left bedroom. The bathroom shares walls with the back-left and back-right bedroom. Then there is the middle-right bedroom. Another bathroom. Then the front-right bedroom.
I think the rooms could have been more evenly spaced if the fireplace flue didn’t take up so much space, but what can you do?
Third Floor: Floors, Walls, Windows, doorways, and stairs are complete. The hatch ladder...frame? Whatever it’s called is on the ceiling. There are 3 bathrooms. Sinks, baths/showers, and toilets are in there courtesy of the 3D warehouse, but still need some work.
12′ Ceilings, 8x3 doors
I would have used the same layout for the 3rd Floor, but the stairs messed with that. We’re starting on the left half again. Front room, restroom, middle room, back room. Bathroom at the back, like the 2nd floor. Right, back bedroom. Center right bedroom with a shared bathroom that leads to the front right bedroom. Yes the bathroom has two doors. These two bedrooms have reach-in closets. Everybody else needs to bring their own wardrobe holding furniture.
Attic: Floor and dormers are complete. The opening for the hatch ladder is complete. I don’t think I’ll be able to model the hatch ladder lol. That’s outside of my skills. Hopefully the 3D warehouse has something for a 12 foot ceiling.
10′ ceiling, the dormers are kind of low as well because I tried my best to make the roof look like the pictures.
Two dormers in the front and back sides, one dormer on the left and right side. This is because of the chimney.
Roof: Mostly complete, but the topmost part is open so I can still fiddle with the attic. I’d like to add some skylights if possible because the lighting in the attic is going to be a little bit odd with just the dormer windows since they are so low.
I’m no architect so I didn’t really know the best way to plan this out. I’m having fun figuring this out, though. I can’t wait to post the finished product! Or, semi-finished product. I want to consult SereneDarkness (ao3) about who is in what bedroom and what setup they’d have before I can do any interior decorating.
