of course!! if the people want more of the local 41 year old woman, i shall oblige :D
She was born on September 13th (which coincidentally happened to land on a Friday) to two humans, Suk-ja and Hanjae Cheon respectively, although she was also raised by her aunt, Kyung-hee. Her father, Hanjae, and by proxy aunt, were actually related to Aberrants, with the latter inheriting said Aberrancy. While it did skip Hanjae, it definitely didn't skip Seulki. Due to her parents wanting nothing to do with Aberrants, they decided to kick out Kyung-hee when Seulki was about 8 years old. Kyung-hee hasn't been seen since, so it's safe to assume she got killed off.
Seulki is actually a quarter European! It's through her father's side, who has ancestors from areas like the Baltics and Poland. She doesn't really know that much about her ancestry, though.
As a teenager she was actually quite shy; she wasn't a top student, or anything of the sorts, but was decent enough both at math and art to want to pursue architecture. Alongside being a math nerd, she also was part of her high school's theatre troupe, finding it way easier to express herself when on the stage. Back then, her nickname was "Selkie", and she had a diabolical bob. Being 5'11" didn't help her not stand out, either.
The person that helped her come out of her shell was one of her high school classmates, Aeng-hwa Namgung, who later on became her first girlfriend. She was also considered a "bad influence", due to her status as a delinquent, and because she was an Aberrant. So, obviously, their relationship ended with Aeng-hwa being executed via gunshot to the head by the Aberrant Corps right in front of Seulki, something that totally didn't mark her for the rest of her life and totally didn't lead to her becoming an alcoholic!!
Shortly after her graduation, Seulki manifested her own Aberrancy, which ruined any chances of pursuing architecture. Her parents, no longer wanting to deal with the stigma that came with housing an Aberrant and with Seulki's own resentment towards everyone and everything, eventually kicked her out. That's how she ended up being used for Rapture, since seldom does one stumble across a teal Aberrant.
Once she managed to escape, Seulki opted to join a small criminal gang, where she was given the name "Gwisin", due to, well, being a Rapture Ghost. In there, she originally just acted as a getaway driver, but soon learned how to handle herself in combat, and how to exploit her gift. Her loyalty towards them faltered over time, and when a rivaling gang offered her a fat pay to sabotage her own, Gwisin accepted it. TL;DR she set their main hideout on fire, and used the burnt remnants to light herself a cigarette.
Given for how long she's been alive already, Seulki considers herself immortal, beyond time and life, and relegates herself to seeking thrills and temporary pleasures in an attempt to find a point in existing. That's how she ended up with 27 situationships. Yes, twenty-seven. She no longer sees the point in fully devoting herself to a lover, especially after her one-sided pining towards a fellow informant, Minha Jeong, ended with said informant rejecting her, and going missing. Gwisin considers herself cursed, bringing ruin to whoever she allows into her heart; so instead, she's opting to haunt people until both her presence and absence drive them mad. Truly a ghost mindset.
In fact, she considers "Gwisin" and "Seulki" two different people, both inhabiting the same body. Gwisin is the dramatic, silver-tongued informant that completes assassinations in a drunken stupor, while Seulki is the sensitive, haunted artist that's never let out out of fear of being vulnerable. At some point, she even carries one-sided conversations with her "other self", whichever is the "other" one by this point.
To finish on a lighter note, she has a horrible singing voice, she's scared of spiders, and carries around a pocket watch she bought at a flea market, which she claims is actually a relic (it's not, she's a huge liar). She likes to flash/check her watch before using her Gift (which is named "Avenoir", which is the desire that time could flow backwards), just for the theatrics. She also wears glasses solely for the pizzazz.
