IMHO, Cthulhu has one of Lovecraft's least interesting designs. I wanted to give him a design that fit better in the world of cosmic horrors, chaos gods, and eldritch aliens, while still staying true to the original text. Also, in Lovecraft's own sketch, Cthulhu has three eyes on each side? Who knew!
