Alma's Last Connection
This will be long and you don't have to play in this space with me, but I've been thinking pretty hard about the mission in AFOP where Tamtey and Ri'nela experience Alma's last connection to Eywa in The Hollows'. More specifically: when her Avatar succumbs to her injuries Nor inflicted, and the two Sarentu take a happy little stroll through her memories of the fateful night at the Sarentu Moot.
WHAT HAPPENED TO THE AVATAR FANDOM IT'S ONLY BEEN 2 MONTHS SINCE ARAA WHERE IS EVERYONE WHY IS THERE LESS POSTS ABOUT AVATAR ON TIKTOK, TWITTER, AND TUMBLR
if the harry potter fandom can survive for two decades then we can too
So, I haven't played any of the dlc's yet but I've seen enough on TikTok and on here to get the gist of what happens, sorta. Now I have this idea in my head that after their rescue Tamtey starts to "sneak" into So'lek's camp to sleep next to him or around him, because he's the one she feels 100% safe with.
Now I'm saying "sneak" because this man always knows when Tamtey slips into the camp but he never says anything, he just quietly rearranges the sleeping area so that Tamtey has a spot for her things, sets out good bedding, he makes sure she has what she needs to be comfortable.
However, as bad as it may make him feel, he will wake her to move her away from the door, it's an unspoken rule that she is never allowed to sleep by the door in his camp, for her safety and his sanity. Mainly his sanity.
Another thing they don't speak about is how they'll lay their tails across each other, may it be their back, or a leg, just as long as there is some form of contact. They each want to make sure the other is still there but don't want to crowd them.
Anyways this was just a thought I had and feel like this is something that would possibly happen.
and then we all cry
And now we got Mangkwan! So‘lek yall 🛐🛐

Been thinking about what a great character Nor is. (Yes he pisses me off, but hear me out)
Nor is handling the trauma of TAP very differently from Tamtey. He feels disconnected from Eywa, tainted by his past and upbringing within TAP. He makes several mentions of being uncomfortable connecting to the tarsyu and feeling like he would somehow taint the experience with his memories.
To some degree all of the Sarentu have that trauma, but we see them all adjust differently. Teylan leans hard into his human interests, the things that feel familiar to him. Ri’nela pursues her path as Tsahik and focuses more on her relationship to Eywa, and Tamtey embraces all of Pandora wholeheartedly.
Not completely isolates himself. At the beginning we find him alone, having wandered away from HQ.
He never visits the other clans, like Tamtey and the others do. To some degree that’s game mechanics, but he makes no mention of ever visiting any of the Na’vi camps or home bases.
His insecurity and self hatred prevent him from connecting, both to the Na’vi people and to Eywa. After he stabs Alma’s avatar, he goes off on his own and from what we gather from the newest DLC, he remained alone, trying to find his path.
Tamtey is the polar opposite. They connect with every clan they meet, walking the old steps of the Sarentu and learning about their customs and the customs of each group. They really embraced their community, and in doing so also brought the clans together as closer allies. All by just being open.
Nor is trying so hard to be his idea of Na’vi that he fails to acknowledge who he is, what he came from. He does not See yet.
I really hope that we get to see more of their relationship post From the Ashes. We didn’t get any real interaction between the two now that Nor has returned and I’m really interested in that contrast.
was not expecting this in the end credits of the DLC, nor what the fuck are you up to
