dominic probably learned japanese as a kid cause his mom probably did tell him abt the hgw and heroic spirits and all that junk and so dominic, being the kid he was, thought he could maybe summon godzilla and thought knowing japanese would help him talk to them. then his mother murdered him by telling him even as a fictional heroic spirit godzilla is still too new. and the then seven year old dominic locked himself in his room for a week he got so upset.

          “ This is the worst. “ Voice deepened as if to further express his new found misery, not at all ecstatic about essentially being forcibly kicked out from his own room, even threatened into working. It may have been a rather tame threat and one that wouldn’t be permanent, but the mere thought of going without dinner for even one day proved to be effective.

          He’s frozen in place, feeling like he just got stabbed. All he said was a few words and now he’s been cut open with a rather sharp knife. He doesn’t even have a retort for pete’s sake !

What will you do ? “ The hands Dominic had clasped over his ears seemed to grip at his ears even more now, attempting to block out Ritsuka’s voice even more than before. Becoming a mentor to someone had never been on his list of things to do, sure he maybe had the knowledge to do it, but he just really didn’t feel suited for such a thing. Yet fate was a terrible thing and seemed to have decided to place him in a situation where one was necessary, even if he protested so much in the beginning, he landed in what he viewed as a horrible rabbit hole.

          The only noises that can be heard in a rather messy room are the faint sounds of a comedy show being played on a tablet, the voices from it being drowned out, and the young mage’s own voice. Complaints are all that leave him, essentially venting to the Servant unfortunate enough to be in a contract with him. “ Can you believe they still keep bugging me ? If they’ve managed to last this long with that no name newbie then I’m sure they can continue just fine ! It’s a bit pointless to hassle someone who clearly isn’t gonna be much help, right ? “

          “ I can’t believe they actually put you under house arrest ! That’s the funniest thing I’ve heard all week ! “ Wheezing and laughter alike erupt from Dominic, hand firmly placed on his sides as he shakes with laughter. A certain incident that had transpired recently ended in not only a room being partially destroyed, but also some ‘minor’ trouble for the two. They’d received quite the scolding from various members of Chaldea’s staff, each one clearly serious and upset, yet Dominic was all but smiles and insistent giggles.

“ I’m sorry though, really I am ! “ He certainly didn’t sound sorry. “ I expected a lot of reactions from you, but to see you lunge at it like you did wasi- “ A pause, the boy attempting to catch his breath alongside another giggle fit. “ -wasn’t something I’d expected ! “

          " Where'd you get such a cheesy line ? From a comic book maybe ? " Words fall out along with a chuckle, whatever momentary silence that had come about quickly fading. What had brought about such words, he wondered ? And what useless words they'd been, nice to hear yes, but he didn't feel such a notion was necessary. Of the few emotions Dominic had shown he doubted even a hint of guilt had surfaced, least of all over having torn himself from an overbearing family's claws as much as he could.

" If someone feels guilty over something like that, then it either means they weren't ready, or weren't confident that's what they wanted like they thought. It's unreasonable to feel guilty for such a thing if you ask me. "

before i forget to mention this, it should be noted that, when it comes to the servants, i will be treating most as if they had contracts with guda/ritsuka rather than dominic !! seeing as he was in a coma for the first six singularities ( only just barely waking up after the e pluribus unum singularity, and being out of commission still for most of camelot ) he doesn’t have many relations with them. this can be easily changed though by just telling me beforehand or plotting it out with me !

do you like morally ambiguous characters ? ones that claim to be the worst with a smile and do nothing but cause trouble for others ?? then you might be in luck ! please like / reblog this post if interested in interacting with an original character based in the fate franchise (grand order to be specific). dominic is a skilled but relatively (useless) lazy mage who lacks interest in just about anything that isn't occasionally causing havoc for others to deal with or avoiding reality. in short, he really is the worst.

a list of misc. facts abt domi cause i’m too lazy to do his bio + this is easier.

is an actually pretty skilled mage with a specific fondness for plant/nature based magic and the like. being born into a family where one’s talents was seen as everything, he got thoughts of needing to be the best at whatever he did forced into his head at an early age. for a while he proved to be obedient enough and followed that belief closely enough, but adolescence and teenage rebellion proved to be much stronger than whatever his family thought of him. by nineteen he’s as careless as can be, fully aware of his skill, but also well aware he doesn’t quite care about it. if anything, he kind of hates quite a bit about his life.

doesn’t at all present himself as the talented mage he is. most think him to be a bit dim and maybe even irritating, he’s more a troublemaker than anything else. he wears his chaotic antics rather boldly too, proudly proclaiming himself as a no good and rotten person, though he’s hardly as foul as he likes to act.

one of the few skills of his that is not only non magic, but even something he is rather proud of, seems to be drawing. he doesn’t have time to do it often, but occasionally you’ll find an open sketchbook in his room. full of done to half done drawings of various things, from items or rooms within chaldea to even a few servants. he’s quite good at drawing people.

as he was stuck in a coma after the initial incident in chaldea, dominic continued to remain out of action even after he woke up, finding the state of disarray something he had to grow a bit more accustomed too. after being caught up to date he still leaves much of everything up to guda, sometimes offering assistance when he feels it’s needed.
