Name: Beggar’s Rebellion Author: L.W. Jacobs Rating: 2* DNF This book received a low rating because I couldn’t finish it. It had a good concept and story however due to the swear changes the atmosphere was ruined and I felt I couldn’t fully immerse myself into the book. If this is something that bothers you too I would not recommend this book, and if you like gripping tales I wouldn’t recommend this book either. However if it doesn’t bother you and you’re a younger reader this may be a good fantasy book to start with.

Name: Path of a Novice

Author: R.K. Lander

Rating (out of 5 starts): 4*

This book was a good read, it touches on a few topics in a unique way which I feel added depth to the story. It does progress slowly and there are quite a few books in this series however I really liked how it used the idea of elves and the different types + discrimination to show racism from a completely different view. It really allows the reader to get a slight understanding on experiences and it really opens your eyes when you feel that sense of familiarity despite it being a fantasy book.

The only bad thing about this book is that it is slow, but in turn it does mean that you can clearly see character development.

Overall I would recommend this book!

does anyone else get anxious when reading? like youre so invested emotionally and mentally that you literally have to take a break from reading the book because it fogs your brain?

idk im really enjoying the book series ive been reading but im struggling to continue reading it because i don't want things to take a bad turn, that tends to effect my mood which is really weird and it's not like done movie when you cry and it's done like ill think about it days on end. i tend to look up spoilers for tv shows or movies for this reason because i like to prepare myself but this book series doesn't really have much talk online ? so i can't really look up spoilers for it. my next post will be a review on the first book though, so if anyones read it i would appreciate if they pm me and tell me whether the rest of the books are mentally taxxing 😅
