So from what I read, theyre asking a judge to throw out the case on the grounds that: "if everyone we stole from chooses to join the class action against us, it would financially ruin our company and would also be a precedent for people to sue the OTHER ai companies too, and it would financially ruin THEM as well.

Their argument isn't "we didnt steal," or "we broke no laws by using their stuff without permission" ---- their argument is "but if you hold us legally liable for stealing their stuff, itll be super expensive for us :( "

Needless to say, i hope that the class action goes ahead, and i hope it finds the company legally and financially liable for a fucktonne of money, and I hope that every other AI company also gets sued and has to pay damages into bankruptcy.

I'll be participating in the YouTube boycott on August 13th until YouTube revokes its decision. Please try to join me if you can. We can accomplish this, but we have to do it together for it to make a difference. Tell anyone who will listen that we need to fight censorship as a team. Tell people to cancel YouTube Premium subscriptions. Tell people to flood YouTube with emails about how awful a decision this is. Sign the Stop KOSA petition.

Want to add something to the whole "YouTube ID protest" thing- (More info about this here if you need it)

If you're participating in refusing to use YouTube from the 13th of August until the ID policy is lifted, there is a chance you might accidentally use YouTube in one way or another.

Muscle memory, autopilot, a misclick, any number of things, please don't let that mistake cause you to give up! We are human, we make mistakes, but as long as you correct it and continue the protest it will reduce the damage and keep the viewership loss on YouTube high, increasing the chance of success! That's what matters, that we keep trying. We need to show that even if we trip and fall, we'll just get back up and keep going!

I believe in you, even if you make a mistake, I'll keep believing in you, as long as you keep trying!

We will succeed. We refuse to be tracked or censored. We deserve our privacy!
