Wings and Wisps masterpost

What is wings and wisps? It is an au/fic set in a crossover of Danny Phantom and Fairly odd parents with ideas from new wish.

It takes place 7 ish years after fairly odd parents and a year after DP's first season during the second season, Post secret weapons (Some inaccuracies may occur because I was watching the show on paramount which messed up the order but I'll do what I can to straighten things out plot wise.}

The plot centers around the mystery and chaos of Danny's routine getting flipped on it's head when a new couple moves in across the street (Cosmo and Wanda), Bringing in a slew of new dangers but also a new ally in the form of his new, Fairy classmate, Peri.

If you could write an episode of A New Wish what would it be about?

As much as I like Peri, I'd actually want to see another episode focused on Kenneuth.

Maybe Hazel remembers him and she wants to go see how he's doing.

Keeping with the theme of the show, maybe Hazel doesn't understand how he's chosen to live his life and tries to fix it/make it more interesting with good intentions.

But ultimately she learns that sometimes people live their lives in ways she doesn't understand and that's okay, those are their choices.

Alternatively.

Cosmo and Wanda have to take off for important Fairyworld business, leaving Peri to be Hazel's god parent for the day.

Leading to Peri trying his best to impress her and anticipate what she wants because of how Dev wished.

Meanwhile Hazel is worried about pushing him too hard after nearly seeing him die from magical backup.

Eventually they learn that they both have more in common than they thought.

if you were to make a Danny Phantom reboot (kind of like a New Wish) what would it be about?

OOo!! This is a great question!

It's all up to personal preference as different people want different things from the show/fandom.

Personally I would like it to keep it's almost sitcom framing, I think it would do a lot to keep the vibe strong.

I'd love to see the show having Danielle as the focus because I assume this would take place after the novels so while Danny has caught and dealt with most of his problems. Danielle still has a lot too learn + like og fop, Dp has issues when it comes to gender representation so having her being the main focus could help pull the series to overcome those issues.

I'd also like to see more depth given to the side characters as well as more diversity and getting rid of stereotypes because that's an undeniable issue with the og show.

I think I'd give certain characters their own episodes as well as going in more depth about them, Like I'd love to see an episode where Tucker questions his usefulness to the team, Maybe he steps away and realizes how much he's needed when Dani has to find him.

Maybe Sam has one where she explores different interests because of having to the freedom to do so, or addressing the way her parents are beyond just being "rich and snobby"

I'd also like to see Danny confronting the conditioning that this whole thing has caused his brain and learning to accept help from others besides Sam and Tucker.

Also Sam making female friends because oh my god, She constantly beefed with every one in the episodes I've seen in the show 😭 (even Jazz

It would be nice to see her and Valerie connect on something.

Speaking of Valerie, I'd want her to be a main character because she has so much potential, I want to see her struggling to trust with how much she's been through and overcoming that hurtle because of Danielle.

I'd also like to see more depth to Jazz as well, I don't imagine she'd play a super big role but I like her.

Part of the reason I'd like to see these characters struggle more is that it would add more emotional weight to their accomplishments and their triumphs.

Every episode of Danny Phantom I have to rewrite for the au is incredibly interesting because it's a puzzle of preserving the purpose of the plot and the character development while putting someone at the same if higher power level as Danny into the plot.

Reality trip is the current pondering because there's no reason for Peri to step in since Sam, Danny and Tucker have it handled from the get go.

The only thing I can think of is buffing Lydia.

And of course how does Danny's reveal effect Peri in the au

I don't think 'flirting with disaster' would happen in Wings and Wisps.

Mostly because I don't think Danny would date Valerie after she nearly took out one of his friends, I he'd definitely downplay it like in canon if it was just him she was after but Peri makes it a little more complicated.

That and Val is going to get her new suit later on.

I waited a few days but here's the design for my DP x FOP au/fic. I've been holding onto it since October!!! It's his vigilante design to go with Danny's as Phantom! He called himself prey out of spite.

This is more of a one off of two off post not a dedicated side au but Wings and Wisps would be very different if Peri was an anti fairy instead.

He wouldn't be a protagonist, Hell, he wouldn't even be Danny's friend like in the main au, more of an annoyance that gets joy out of his misfortune and causes a good amount of it to,

though never to an extremely harmful extent, just inconveniencing him and his friends and given that in W&Ws lore, Anti fairies are super strong against ghost, There's not much any of them could do about it.

However, if a threat arose that threatened Danny's life, Peri would step in to help because he can't mess with someone like him if he's no longer around.

Despite it all though, him and Sam would be friends because she vibes with the whole thing of anti fairy's disregarding restrictive rules to an extent.

Because of the circumstances of ghosts and fairies being natural enemies, Peri ends up banned from Fairyworld, Jorgen himself has to deliver that news.

But he's not too pleased with that decision from the council so he grabs Danny and schemes with him to get it undone.

So they think a fairy certificate would be the best option..

Unfortunately Danny thinks he himself needs to sign it because Jorgen wasn't clear enough.
