You grin, happy about Eridan’s enthusiasm. You take his hand in your own and kiss his knuckle.

“Then off we go,” you say with a wink. You then turn and spring off towards the training grounds’ entrance, a small skip to your step.

Did she just wink at you? And kiss your hand? She’s being really affectionate, more so than people have really ever been toward you. You wonder if this means something, or if it’s just the kind of person she is, as you follow her in the direction of Bookend.

“But anyway, what do you want to do? We can stay here and train, we can explore the school if you haven’t already, we-” You gasp. “Have you seen Bookend yet? Oh my god you have to.”

You continue fidgeting with your scarf, still kind of anxious around the energetic seadweller.

You pull back with a wide grin, bouncing in your place.

“Oh my god, the descendant of Orphaner Dualscar!” You step back, curtsying for the other troll.

“An honour, though I’m in my training gear. I can’t really greet you authentically.” You laugh to herself with the flick of your wrist. “Oh well. We’re no one yet, right? It’s going to be a long tide before we’re out ruling things.”

You’ve been at it for about an hour now, finally getting your focus back since the crash. You’re about to go in for another strike when you here a faint voice. Fin twitching, you spin with your trident, pointing it to the source on instinct. You pant, face soon softening and you disengage. You smile widely

“Shello!” You throw your free arm around Eridan, pulling him into a tight hug. “It’s nice to meet you.”

Well. You just got hugged by someone who you’d just talked to briefly on the internet, and you’re honestly not really comfortable with it. Still, you’re probably not going to speak up about it.

You anxiously fuss with your scarf. She is pretty, and you can see why your ancestor was so infatuated with hers.

You get your rifle, put on your cape, and proceed down to the training ground, where Feferi said she’d be waiting for you. Sure enough, you spot her golden trident, and walk over to her.
