I don’t normally reblog this stuff. But here’s the thing. You watch youtube right? Basically, in case you were unaware (and you could be, there’s no rule saying you have to already know this), there have been really…dumb things going on on youtube, heck, all over the internet. More specifically, a lot of content creators are having their stuff messed with by companies, even though what they’re doing is just fine under fair use. You can easily find a video explaining more on the channel linked here.
A lot of content creators that I watch have been hit hard by this, and have had their accounts terminated or threatened in the last few months. Triple Q. Lost Pause. Brain Scratch Comms. But it’s not just these accounts that are in danger. Any account on youtube could be taken down at any time for any reason. It’s scary, I know.
But it doesn’t have to be this way. You have until 11:59 PM EST on April 1st to sign this petition telling the white house directly that this is not okay. You have two hours. Good luck.
