Roz stopped her stomping only to turn and poke her finger on his chest in what was supposed to be a menacing manner. "Look here! I'm not going to die just because I'm a little run down. And I'm certainly not going to miss my text at the college because of it. Now excuse me!" She wanted to storm off after that, but had to cover her mouth when all her shouting set off a coughing fit.

Once at a comfortable height, he started moving in the direction of home.

“Well, it’s a very isolated place. He lives there full time out of necessity and doesn’t get many visitors. My family and I have only started living there recently, though I’ve stayed on and off for a while now.

Roz was frantically trying to put her head scarf back on. “J-just some jerks. They cat called me and I tried to just ignore them, but they started following me and-” Her hands were shaking too much to get anything actually done.

“When we get there, should I leave? I don’t know if you’ve spoken with your mother or not and I’d rather not be the start of some argument.”

She had noticed them being lifted into the air, but had turned her gaze away after that, deciding to focus on healing her hand and bruises instead.

When he was done taking a few years off their lifespans, he deposited them on a nearby rooftop. They could get themselves down from there.

Afterwards, he returned to find her.

“I think they learned something today.”

Roz visably relaxed when he showed back up. It seemed she’d been able to dry her tear while he was gone. “Thank you.. may I ask you to walk me home?” She wasn’t sure if she was pushing her luck on this or not.

Did she suddenly look nervous. “… I made it. I wanted too.” She held out a pink feathery dinosaur plush about the size of a cat. “Never had a cousin before.”

“Thank you, I’m sure he’ll love it. It’s… very well made as well. You’re very talented.”
