My goal is to finish 24 books in 2026. Qualifications for books I read: usually canonical, literary, or experimental literature in some way. I basically do not read genre fiction unless it's literary genre (think Butler or Danielewski). This is not, like, bragging, just meant to give you a sense of if this list is helpful for you!
Here's my list so far!!
1. Open Throat by Henry Hoke
2. Not Without Laughter by Langston Hughes
3. Numbers by John Rechy
4. Vineland by Thomas Pynchon
5. Passing by Nella Larsen
6. If Beale Street Could Talk by James Baldwin
