RIP RPC?
What do you do when an admin only cares about the rp for their own characters? Not because they want a nice place for /all/ roleplayers, but rather they and their little group of friends want to be together in an rp that they control. I don't want to leave but I don't know what else to do?
Leave. They should just make an RP for them and their friends or do indie? I don’t get admins that do that shit.
Anybody looking for a teen mom rpg not celeb based the only one I can find is chilmarkrp
If that’s you’re thing, go check it out!
The RPC
seems so dead.
i'm really over admins choosing to ignore their players concerns for fear of looking "bad." i'm in a roleplay right now where the activity limit is 7 days, which makes it hard to keep plots and threads and moving. the only people who seem to roleplay at the same time are people who are friends ooc. it's really messed up.
You should leave, sweetheart. No reason to stick around in a group that is making you unhappy or annoyed. Tell the admins how you feel, too. It’s good for players to speak up because so few rarely do.
I personally don’t think 7 days is unreasonable. What I find unreasonable is like 3-4 days. I get most of the RPs that have 3-4 day activity rule are generally shorter gif threads or something, so I guess that makes sense. I tend to stick to para-heavy groups, though, and 7 days is a good time frame for those kinds. But I think admins need to start being more clear about what that means. Maybe people should have to post 3-4 times within 7 days? Something like that.
Anyway, tell the admins and leave. I’m rooting you on!
I feel so good after unfollowing that one blog that kept stirring up drama for nothing and walkyd around calling people racist for nothing, and thankfully I'm not the only one disliking that girl, after I had a tiny "conversation" with her where she called me racist and other things for nothing i only had people come to me to say I should just ignore her bc she does that with everyone disagreeing, not a single person sent me hate, really restored my faith in the rpc
Good. I am glad you ignored them. Don’t feed into the trolls and haters. That only instigates them and makes them think it’s okay to continue.
writing apps is hard work but so fun?
send me stuff while I do this!
ps have the RPH/RPC tags been super dead lately or...?
there's an "rph" who tries to stir up drama and posts a lot of dramatic stuff in general. now she's trying to open up an rp and i just feel like it's going to be a breeding ground for drama.
Just ignore them. The trolls will leave when they get no attention. I don’t know why people feed into drama.
I’m on loves!
Send me your complaints, horror stories, opinions (would love some unpopular opinions), RPs to investigate, whatever.
RP community: More diversity! More representation!
RP community: Um, sorry, I'm not going to RP with a 50+ character. Ew.
rpc: gets triggered if u don’t have problematic, racist, homophobic fcs banned
also rpc: gets triggered if u have problematic, racist, homophobic fcs banned
it's so discouraging when you have a muse you're absolutely in love with but everyone kind of overlooks you because you're not playing to the whole "rich bitch" trope the rpc loves, and don't get me wrong - i love playing bitchy mean girls too, but it's shitty when you try to do something different, and realize /just/ how much people prefer those kinds of characters.
I know right? I joined a group RP recently and hadn’t realized this was an issue. Every character was a carbon copy of the other and no one really paid those that were not much mind.
tfw someone is in the chat talking about making a new character, and you're sitting there like srsly, you owe me posts on all of your existing characters, maybe you should work on those before you go biting off even more than you can chew? smh
Ugh. People. Is this a group RP? Hopefully the admins don’t allow that nonsense.
Send me your RP horror stories, your complaints, and your unpopular opinions! Or ask me some questions or for advice. I’m here for a while, loves.
I'm the anon who had that dilemma a few days ago! I sent a message to the main page saying I was leaving due to feeling left out, and they didn't post the message, just told everyone to unfollow. I find that so unprofessional?
I don’t know if that’s unprofessional necessarily.
Most groups won’t post something that will make them look bad. I hope that they were at least sympathetic and that they will now actively work on making things better as I am sure you are not the only one who feels left out. It’s a thing that happens to a lot of people in a lot of groups. It’s one thing if they try to stop it but have a difficult time. But I think it’s really shit when it is perpetuated by the admins.
Anyway, they should not hesitate to give warnings and kick people out if they are making people feel left out by ignoring others and bubble RPing. Most RPs have a thing about that in their rules. The RPC has to be stronger in following their own rules.
If you want me to do some top secret investigating, I can. Just come to me off anon or with the group name and I’ll see what I can do.
I'm trying to decide whether or not to set up a rp that revolves around the Olympics and was wondering if you think its a good idea. Over the past year I've written so many plots people just don't seem to like and thought I would seek some advice before I worked out the logistics of this one.
So like-- everyone’s running hurdles and jumping about being athletes? I thinkkk I need more info hahaha. I don’t sport.
I'm not really much of a roleplayer, but I find it so annoying when people use that little ass -3 font pretending it looks so good. Also, strikethroughs? Super and subscripts? Do these people even English? Don't even get me started in the lack of capitalization... OH and those stupid tiny Gifs. AND ugly tiny blogs in the containers.
Isn’t that the truth? Why does everything have to be SOOOO tiny. Ain’t no one able to see that.
