This is my friend TJ, wearing a costume she made for Halloween, 1977. She was 16 at the time. Now, keep in mind: there was no internet to search for images. She could not have rented and paused the movie, because it wasn’t released on video until 1982. No, TJ just went to the movie a bunch of times, took notes with a flashlight, drew a bunch of sketches, and put this together. In 19-fucking-77. So let’s bury this bullshit about how women didn’t grow up on Star Wars.

One of my favorite things about sunflowers is that, while it looks like one large beautiful flower, it really is comprised of many many flowers all cohabiting on one mass-much like humanity on our beautiful home. No flower is more important than the other, no petal with greater value. The bees harvest from every single little flower on every sunflower, pollinating, helping them blossom, just as our angels ascended master or whatever you may call them do for us here on earth. Sunflowers show me the glory of seeing the picture as a whole and teach me that, while it is easy to become distracted by the beauty or being of a single thing, everything has many glorious moving parts integral to its existence. Sunflowers heal me, they teach me love, they are sunlight that exists even when the sun goes down. They turn to the sun to grow and the sun never wants from them in return. The sun is unconditional love and the flower is humanity and once we learn to shine the light of love we have within us unto one another without expectation only then can we reach for the heavens and grow as a collective, as a sunflower. I see this love in my dreams, i feel it in my bones, and my greatest and only wish is for all of your wishes of love and happiness to be fulfilled for then i will feel joy with you. You are all my family, you are all my friends. May my tears of hope water your dreams to grow. I love you, eternally, wanting. nothing in return. (at New York, New York)

If you want to pursue a spiritual path that could involve, say, buying a ridiculously expensive book from Ebay because the original was a limited edition that sold out in 2006…

Also, remember to show spirits the kindness and respect you wish for them to show you. Remember not only to communicate, but to do your best to listen to them as well.

Just as you wish for them to understand and accept your limitations, you must be willing to do the same for them.

Do what you can to help each other through setbacks and obstacles. Resist toxic and controlling behaviors, where you are only interested in your own benefit—because, you won’t find success that way.

Something I’m discovering I like is that a bunch of the traditionally spooky omens and vibes don’t apply if you worship Hades. Pregnant people at funerals? A chance for introspection, and a nice reminder that life is cyclic.Giant black dog? That’s like, a third of Cerberus! Owls at sunset? Hades sent an owl friend to appreciate the view with you. Snakes? Friendly messengers.

I was walking home last night and a bunch of little black beetles landed on my shoe. And that would’ve been creepy a couple weeks ago, but now they’re just cute little buddies.

I like this faith thing.
