Level 24 today! 🎂 Another year, another day in Monstropolis ! 💙👁️💜

Never thought 10 years ago, closing in on my mid 20s, drawing monsters, emphasis on some big blue crocodile that eats up my page, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!!

Excuse me for being sappy again, but it’s every one of you, especially to my love @nickyologyy 💜 that keep me going, that have helped me find my place in this beautiful and fun community! It’s not everyday you can wake up and have amazing people at the tap of your finger 😭🤗 THANKYOU!

Joining ArtFight for 2026!

I’ll be honest, having 3 teams to choose from was the last thing I expected for this year’s theme reveal, but I LOVED all of the ones shown. I ended up choosing Team Tragedy in the end mostly for the colors and the vibe they gave. I’m looking forward to this year’s ArtFight, doing my absolute best to get as many attacks, friendly fires, and defenses as possible! Even with a busy schedule, I’ll do whatever I can to have fun with this! See yall in a couple of weeks then!

Jam sesh!!! The absolute badass, Isaiah, belongs to @mu-molerat! Vee can't play a single instrument except percusions, and even then i don't see her grabbing anything except the maracas, castanets, tambourines, cymbals, and drums (she doesn't play those very well but she likes the deep sounds of drums). She would do her absolute best to keep up with Isaiah if he ever invited her to jam out. She thinks Isaiah's ability to play a guitar is the coolest thing ever, watching his claw-like hands fly across the strings and produce actual music as he strums the pick. Thank you so much for allowing me to draw him! ^U^

Moving from the Lawson family to Morgan Arana for a 2026 ref sheet! Not too much to change from her design aside from colors, but she is adorable regardless.

Morgan's Background:

Morgan Arana grew up in a small town far from Monstropolis. They had no clear path in life, always moving between jobs until she moved to the city. She believed there could be potential working for MI as a scaring assistant, where she would be placed with Quinn as her partner. At the start, she was looking forward to working with a real scarer and possibly getting a new friend.

However, her time at MI lead to a lot of stress as she struggled to meet the high expectations put on her and Quinn. The stress had resulted in moments where she could not control her stinging ability, causing multiple work incidents. She would have certainly been fired if it wasn't for Quinn. The duo worked well together, but Morgan's attempts to reach out to become friends were unsuccessful. It wasn't all bad though, as she had made friends with other assistants and non-scaring employees.

After MI stopped hiring scarers, Morgan would leave and continue her job search, where she currently works as a barista. She lost contact with Quinn and other coworkers at MI, which made her wonder if she should have stayed at the company despite everything that happened. In the present, Morgan decided to reach out one last time to Quinn, in the hopes that maybe there's still a chance to know her better.

Bridget Lawson reference sheet for 2026! Out of the main 3 in the Lawson Family, Bridget definitely had the biggest changes to her character. A major improvement from her first look, which took some time and too many owl photos to make it feel right.

Bridget’s Background:

Bridget Lawson, born Bridget Pearson, had always known that she wanted to get into law. While many saw her potential to become a scarer, she continued to do what she dreamed of doing with her family's support. When she got to college, she would meet a young and immature monster named Peter. She never imaged falling in love with him, but their time together helped them grow close before getting engaged and then having Quinn.

She would continue her studies for the following years before becoming a lawyer at one of the best firms in Monstropolis. While intimidating at first glace, Bridget is a kind soul who wants to give others the chance to do the right thing, though not without caution. In the present, Bridget is working closely with the families of monsters suspected of being wrongfully banished. While not pleasant work, it needs to be done by someone who cares.

2026 reference sheet for Peter Lawson! Much like Quinn, he went thought a lot of changes as his character was developed. I think adding more vibrant colors really helped me like him more, matching his outspoken personality much better than his previous iteration!

Peter’s Background:

Peter Lawson is a professor at MU and Quinn’s father. He was born to a well established scaring family, where he learned to adapt to whatever crowd he interacted with, especially among elite families. It helped build him a wide network and gained many friends, but he lacked a real identity for himself. That all changed when he met Bridget, the love of his life. Their love was gradual, but grew stronger each day, eventually getting married after college and then having Quinn.

He would find a successful scaring career at MI, with a surge in popularity in the 90s with the rise of dinosaur media and gaining the nickname “Peter the Petrifying”. He is an ambitious monster, loyal to his family and friends (to a fault in his youth). Waternoose was formerly one of his closest friends, to the point of appointing him godfather of his daughter. Just a few years prior to the present, he was offered a position to teach at MU, to which he excitedly agreed to, discovering a passion in teaching.

Peter loved his scaring work, but he loves his family much more. In the present, he is attempting to reach out to MI with plans to further research in laugh energy and potentially establish the first comedy school at MU.
