So something I've been trying to do the last couple weeks is go on walks most days— sometimes twice in a day if I have time. I've been doing this for a few reasons: 1) personal health stuff in general; 2) I've recently changed positions at my workplace that has me mostly working at a desk in my own office, so I haven't been getting the same level of activity that I am used to; 3) I'm going back to Mexico in a few months and when we were down there last year, aside from riding buses and occasionally taxis, our main way of getting around was via walking, so I wanna be better prepared for that; and 4) I just enjoy walking. :p

Well, today I noticed that I have been walking further and faster within the same time length I usually walk, so there's been some improvement!! :)

I want to talk about Xiomara and gender so much.

Considering that Xiomara was Loghain’s mentee, I keep thinking that Loghain did try to advocate for Xiomara to join the Ferelden military as one of his lieutenants or something, but in canon her parents probably forbade it. Basically, this means that in an AU where they did allow it, there is a strong possibility that she would have joined Fergus at Ostagar and would've fought on Loghain's side during the civil war.

Tricky to find something I'm ready to post from... I have two longer fanfics I'm trying to finish this year for DAI (🫩 circa 2018-9 originally you see how slowly I move)... One is a big passion project about Tranquil mages and mage NPCs of the rebellion...

Thinking about the Trevelyans again……. I'm trying to think of a reason why Bann Trevelyan was willing to marry Anita de la Torre Cabal— Rafael's mom— when she was at least 10+ years younger than him and already pregnant with Rafael himself who is another man’s child. I'm thinking that Bann Trevelyan had already been married before and had a legitimate heir through that marriage, so I'm wondering what happened to that wife. I could go the route that she died in childbirth or died of sickness or something, but that seems boring and I don't wanna fridge her….. rather, I was thinking what if she was so miserable in that marriage that she willingly got recruited into the Grey Wardens and left and the marriage was annulled. And it does make me wonder who she is and what it is about her character that caught the Wardens' attention…… New oc??? 👀 <– guy who already has too many ocs.

Anyway, back to the point: even though his marriage is now nulled, at least Bann Trevelyan has a legitimate heir, so when Anita's parents are looking to marry her off to cover her pregnancy that's out of wedlock, he's pretty chill with it, and who knows maybe he'll now have the heir and the spare as long as no one else finds out the truth of Rafael's paternity. That, and maybe with his new marriage to Anita he'll get some new alliance or lands if he plays along. Although, the fact that Rafael later ends up being a mage definitely causes scandal and other problems. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I've been thinking about Bann Trevelyan's first wife and I realized something. If Rafael is around 33 at the start of Inquisition, meaning he was born around 9:08 Dragon, then the bann's first wife could've been recruited not long before that— maybe around 9:06 or 9:07 Dragon at the earliest. My point is that there is enough time for her to have become a senior ranked Warden by the time of Awakening, meaning she could be the Orlesian Warden in a world state. 👀

I have decided that Isaac is illiterate. Combined with him having been parentified from a young age, I think he's dyslexic, both of which would have made learning to read harder. Because of this, in act 2, he and Fenris are both learning to read and are like "we are doing this TOGETHER." It helps with encouraging each other and ensuring they are each committed. I am partly doing this because I often feel icky by the way others tend to portray Hawke in a romance with Fenris as some sort of White Knight, which in turn also tends to feel White Savior-y.
