Hold on. One of the options for the darkest hour with the ministorum priest is renouncing and testifying against your mentor in the Ecchlesiarchy's court. So I'm considering what if the drill abbot from Eligius' past was the mentor in this scenario? And what led up to him testifying against them?? Is this perhaps what led Eligius down the iconoclast path?? 🤔
literally just start posting about your OCs. you don’t even have to “properly” introduce them just make them a dedicated tag, tag them on posts that remind you of them, and then start talking about them like everyone’s supposed to already know who they are. i am not joking when i say this method works.

Contemplating Eligius....... I think it would be more interesting if he did, in fact, know that it was the person from the Schola Progenium who "recruited" him was also the one who murdered/ordered the murder of Eligius' parents. Thus, it leads to the question of why Eligius had still been willing to embrace—for lack of a better term I can think of— the Imperial Creed despite the horrors it inflicted on his life.
I'm thinking that the person who brought Eligius to the Schola Progenium was a drill abbot at the specific facility that Eligius was at, and they were later his main mentor once Eligius was chosen to join the Ecclesiarchy. Drill abbots are known as strict disciplinarians and seasoned warriors while trying to enforce values of the Imperium into the students, which can include the encouragement of cruelty towards peers, so I think it'd make sense if Eligius internalized a sort of survivorship logic that his parents were "weak"— they died but he himself was chosen to live and serve by the Imperium, the apparent "stronger" party. His prowess and strength was always being praised, so surely this is the reason why he is alive and they're not?? He's strong so that must mean he's supposed to side with the stronger party. And, no, this is not a way to avoid the grief of losing his parents and being forcibly taken from his homeworld, what do you mean?

Casimir, who had turned to heresy because he was tired with being treated like dirt by his noble father and relatives along with other nobility for being an illegitimate bastard but ended up turning dogmatic again due to circumstances out of self-preservation and ultimately the Desire to Be Special(TM):
I really like Solomorne and so far he's the character I think I'm gonna have Casimir romance. However, I'm getting the tingling sense that he's hiding something, but I'm unsure of what. My first guess is a Blackwall-esque situation, and I'm posting it here so I can see whether I am correct or if I'll laugh at myself later.
I love characters who are like "I'm a terrible person" but when you look closer it's more like
"I adapted to survive something and now I don't know how to stop being that version of myself."
Just got done doing chores, so I've made myself a mango strawberry smoothie with coconut water and gonna play more Rogue Trader. :)
