@maidouco liked for a starter!
If the animal didn’t try to attack Magnus, nine times out of ten he would want to pet it or use his proficiency with animals toward it to give em a couple of pets. Snakes were no different-- they were just dogs! Except with scales and no arms or legs (which weirded Magnus out a little but who was counting really). So when he saw this weird tangle of snakes, but not the person attached (in his defense he was behind her), Magnus was curious. After all, his friend did ask once: are you an excitable man or a monarch butterfly? Probably both.
However when Magnus reached out very carefully, he got a bite in return. It hurt a little, the snake latched onto his finger by its fangs, but couldn’t really do much else. That’s when he noticed... the girl attached to the snake bundle. Yikes, that was rude of him.
“Oh-- ooooh this is your snake...” Hair. Oops. “Your hair. I-- wow. I am really sorry that was pretty rude of me. You have really cute snake hair though!” Good save, Mango.
