Every time I see this photo when I’m bouncing around on Pinterest, the first thing that pops into my mind is how cute Spoengbob looks. His face slightly scrunched in the middle, as if he too is taking glance at the meal set before him. The brightness in his eyes, as if he knows that while he can’t enjoy the food himself, it is worth it to him that he can spend time with his friend. And that diffused warm light washing the image, it pulls together and sense of coziness, that is then saddened by the caption. Sponegbob sits on the floor, presumably with his friend doing the same, with a wide smile on his face. His arms are straightened out like that of a dog, with a shared value of loyalty to both. He is excited at the mere prospect of spending time, yet his friend cannot see the same joy in front of him. It doesn’t get better. But it can be a little nicer if you allow it the chance to be.

Something about the wind being like a wolf.

Stuck in the middle of the woods, in a snowstorm. The wind howling around you, breaking tree branches like it has claws. Leaves and snow whipping around like loose pieces of fur. You get relentlessly tackled by the wind and fall over, snow piling on you like wolves tearing into a deer. Its teeth are razor thin and stab into your skin. And while you aren’t ripped apart, the blanketing cold freezing your limbs isn’t too far off.
