Who is Goosehouse?

Goosehouse (グースハウス) is a music group who usually cover japanese songs. At first, this project was called “PlayYou.House”, but then changed the name into “Goosehouse” at 2011. if you want to read the story how Goosehouse was born, read this:  HOW GOOSEHOUSE WAS FORMED

Before joined Goosehouse, each of the member were already had their singer-songwriter activities. And some of them still active until now: EACH MEMBER PREVIOUS MUSIC ACTIVITIES BEFORE JOINED GOOSEHOUSE

The group were consist of 7 people, and they often do performance with different members variation and had their own names: GOOSEHOUSE SUB UNIT NAMES They mainly doing activity in Youtube after performed a live streaming music in their USTREAM channel about once a month. Besides do cover japanese songs, they also compose their own song. Right now they have 5 singles, 2 digital singles and 4 albums. 1. Shuhei Kudo [工藤秀平 - kudou shuuhei]

A funny boy in group. Very good at beatboxing and Goosehouse’s moodmaker. His nickname is “kudo-kun” or “kudo-san”. Right now he is Goosehouse’s leader.

2. Kei Takebuchi [竹渕慶 - takebuchi kei] 

Goosehouse’s diva. Her nickname is “Kei-chan”. Mostly do main vocal in the group. Fluent in english because had lived in California for four years.

Most quiet girl in the group. Her nickname is “Migi-chan” or “Migiwa”. She loves drawing and cats.

4. Manami [マナミ] *her real name is Manami Kobayashi

Shortest girl in the group. Oldest in the group. Has boyish attitude. Often bullied by other members. Her nickname is “manami” or “manamikan”.

She is the oneesan (older sister) character in the group. A lady-like older sister. Unique by her very long hair. She loves skiing. She often called as “saya-nee” or “sayaka-neesan”.

A boy who graduated from Goosehouse to do his own solo career but come back again as a new member. His nickname is “johnny-kun” or “johnny”.

My 21st birthday is coming up and the pressure to drink is getting so freaking frustrating. It’s my personal choice not to drink. It’s a lifestyle I’ve chosen and I don’t plan on changing that. What I don’t understand is why everyone is so determined to change my mind. When a vegetarian refuses to eat meat no one forces them to eat meat. Friends have been badgering me with questions about why I don’t drink and have been trying to change my mind. “Just try a little bit and see if you like it.” 

The thing is, I don’t care if I’ll like it or not. I just don’t want to drink and this is my choice, for health and personal reasons, yet people look at me as I’m some judgmental, narrow-minded person for not “trying something new” and being outside the norm of this culture. Honestly, I never push my life choices and beliefs onto other people. I don’t judge people for their decisions even if I don’t particularly agree them. Why is it that having some traditional/old-fashioned values in an increasingly nonconservative, flippant society seen as close-minded while all the “open-minded” people are pushing people to accept and conform to their values. I’m open to new ideas and trying new things, but I have my values in life that will never change.

I find it frustrating when someone’s listening to your voice, but they don’t actually listen to what you’re saying. Sometimes people don’t realize it- we’re all guilty of doing these some of the time, and it’s okay. ^^ Edit: Ah, so #3 should say make it “ALL” about themselves.

this is why I love this joke:

Jesus was fond of telling his followers not to worry about how they’d afford food tomorrow because God would provide. But Jesus told them this while handing out free bread and encouraging them to help people who were in need, making them the outlet through which God would provide for others

My mother was a waitress, we live in an area that has a lot of Christians and people would often stiff her on tips. Instead they’d leave a pamphlet with quotes from Jesus saying not to worry because God would provide

Jesus’ message was never that God would magically put food on people’s tables. God would provide opportunities to help each other, like the boat captains offering to help the dying man. That only works if people actually help each other

When I first heard this joke as a teenager I laughed at the guy who didn’t take the help that was offered to him. As an adult, I think of all the Christian politicians who vote against food stamps and I want to tell them “You were the boat captain but you steered away from the man in need instead of offering him help. Is that really what God wanted you to do?”
